My wife and I have a Tundra Crewmax with a roof tent that works really well for us and our two 60lb dogs. The Crewmax is huge, we could easily have two adults back there with the dogs. Could do a flipbak or a four wheel camper. We really wanted a 4x4 van but they were too expensive for the...
The 3M 8315 panel bond is an amazing product if you're doing metal on metal and don't want/can't weld. The metal will fail before the glue. Also, U-Pol Weld #2 Copper primer is a much cleaner weld through primer than that zinc stuff. Really cool build! Thanks for sharing.
I'm running the King OEM kit on mine with Camburg upper control arms and 285/75/18 tires on factory wheels. I did have to use spacers on the fronts. Still trying to decide on wheels, probably will never make up my mind. This is an amazing kit, you'll be blown away. If you're looking for...
Get a legitimate Indian cook book! It's really not a big deal and you'll find yourself trying a lot of new and delicious food. My wife has been a vegetarian for over ten years.
There's also a very good local brewery off the highway in Eagle called Bonfire. It's a local favorite. Beer and popcorn only, can order pizza delivery, dog friendly. You won't find a friendlier place than the Vail Valley.

Skip Utah and stay in Colorado! There's a newer hot spring in Glenwood Springs called Iron Mountain hot springs. And go to the brewery restaurant in town, the brew pub. Colorado National Monument is seriously underrated, cool place. Stopping in Vail is kind of cool too.

My body mount rub was minimal. This rig gets used hard and I wanted it to be perfect. I do auto body for a living, so a little chop and weld doesn't bother me!

Thanks! I'm running Spidertrax spacers in the front, King 2.5 front/rear, and Camburg UCAs. I also did the body mount chop. I have some very minor rub on the plastic wheel liner in the front. The body mount chop is not a big deal. If you can't weld, have a welding or body shop do it for you...
Nice truck! I stressed about the suspension for months. Was torn between Icon and King. I went with the Kings front and rear with Camburg arms up front. I will have a custom Deaver spring made for the rear once I decide how much weight I will be carrying in the rear. For now the OEM leaf pack...
I was looking at 17"s because I wanted the OEM Rock Warrior wheels, could not find them for a decent price. The previous owner of my truck kept them when he traded in. I'm currently running the OEM SR5 wheels in an 18" that were on it when I bought it. I went with 285/75/18 Toyo AT2 Xtremes. The...
I'm currently thinking about downgrading my truck to a used Tahoe/Yukon. You can get really nice police Tahoes cheap. Any thoughts on this? I need something reliable and it needs to be able to tow. I currently have a 2012 Tundra that I would hate to get rid of, but could also eliminate a...
Good looking truck! Have you seen these? Might just work for ya. http://rokblokz.com/universal-rally-mud-flaps.html I'm also from MI, currently living in the Vail Valley. Surprised you left!
Have you driven both of these? The 4 Runner is hands down a much nicer vehicle. I went through the same choice a little over a year ago. I was even looking at the two Ford trucks mentioned. With the price/power/mileage difference, I went with a Tundra. The TRD Pro is very nice, but I would lean...
