Drove this home yesterday. What a beautiful rig. It is a little slow in the hills but very nice and easy to drive. Drove from Boise Idaho to White Salmon WA on one tank and got 24mpg with a strong headwind and 3 mountain passes. Thanks Jason. Great guy to deal with.

I sent you a PM. Give me a ring today or send me your phone number and we will talk. I think I might be getting serious about your rig. I would have to sell my DoKa to do it, so it is a little hard on me, but let's talk.
thanks

I didn't know you had that classic Jason. I am still running your wheels on mine and loving them. What color is the interior? I wish I could bring myself to sell my VW DoKa, your rig would be a perfect replacement. Does still have the air suspension or springs?
Hope things are well with you...
This looks like an awesome build. I love what you have done with it! Good luck with your results. Cancer has effected our family in several ways. I am sending many positive thoughts your way.

I sure love your rig. If I ever make up my mind to sell my Syncro DoKa this is exactly what I would like to pick up. I am just up by Hood River. If you ever get up this way I would love to see it in person. Good luck with the sale.

I look forward to seeing your new Taco around Hood River. I have been thinking of that same vintage of 4 door (or possibly land cruiser), but I would have to let go of the Green VW double cab to swing it. I am not sure I can do it.
As I get older, having some of that Toyota reliability is more...
I have been running tubeless with a touch of Stan's for years, but if you are just getting back into it, I would stick with tubes for a while. Tires are cheaper and depending on the setup can be easier to change on the trail. If you find yourself riding a bunch then it might be worth the extra...
Sorry inline 5 is correct. Just repeating the 6 from 2.6, I think. I have had several of the inline 5's in VW Quantum Syncros and love the 5 cylinders.

This is a link to a shot of my Syncro. It is a 16" Syncro DoKa with John Wessels coil over lift kit, the rack that I designed and helped build and our Overland tent. It is running a 2.6 liter South African...
I was able to drive a short wheel base G-Wagen at NW Mogfest this year. It was an automatic and that combined with the dual range transfer case made the G-Wagen amazingly easy to drive. We went through the bigger pit on the obstacle course, I have very little off road experience, and it was so...
This is not Land Rover specific but I just recently designed and helped build a rack for my VW Double Cab Syncro. I drove around with it in bare steel to start with just to make sure things were good. When I first got to the freeway it was so loud that I thought it was not going to be useable...
