    '85 4Runner fuel system

Long story short, truck is running again, probably something to do with the relay. jumpered a battery straight to the pump, runs fine. I'll post an update when I find out when get around to fixing it right.

    Repower for Toyota T100

Interesting thread. Thanks for putting up with my "ask questions first, google later" approach to the topic. I hadn't really thought about the fact that the bigger V-6 might be a perfectly acceptable motor to begin with, and the supercharger sounds like turnkey option with a lot of potential...

    Repower for Toyota T100

Kind of what I was thinking. Find the cheapest 4x4 T100 you can, replace the bed with an Oz- style tray or even purpose- built camper box, and start doing stuff with the drivetrain. perfect. only thing is the $1000 T100 probably isn't going to be an Xtra Cab. The extracab does mean a lot in...

    Repower for Toyota T100

I've done minimal research on the subject but any thoughts on repowering the T100? Seems like there would be a lot of room in the engine bay and an older 4cyl. could be picked up for a reasonable price. Anything in particular that makes the 4x4 T100 significantly less capable off-road than the LC?

    Keeping bulk water in winter

The idea would be to heat the sleeping compartment in my box truck conversion with a radiator to avoid carbon monoxide/oxygen depletion issues; thinking about how to do it so I can use water from the radiator for washing/cooking in the AM. Not having to keep the "boiler" running 24/7 to keep the...

    1999 ISUZU NPR- for sale

Not sure if it's actually a steal, but a pretty fair price. Conversion's nothing special but probably works ok. Engine's a little high miles. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cto/944002806.html Not mine, etc.

    Keeping bulk water in winter

I'm working on a heating system for my box truck conversion that using a couple radiators as heat exchangers. It would be really nice to find an antifreeze that would leave the water safe for washing and bathing; being able to use it for cooking would be a huge plus. Anyone heard of anything...

    Keeping bulk water in winter

I've been thinking about that problem, too. Wonder how hard it would be to make an antifreeze that's both tasteless and potable. Seems like there could be a market for such a product. Google search didn't turn up anything obvious.

    MB 1419 on Ebay

Not bad. Not bad at all. Finding parts might be time consuming or expensive but they're definitly out there. Who knows how much they actually had in common, but the German army and others had thousands of a 4x4 version with the same model designation. Pretty good chance you could fix it...

    Sprinter 4x4 Trail Run

I've been on the Sprinter mailing list for quite some time, actually. I agree that the newer generation may not nessecarily be "better" for a lot of people. So Upscale is willing to convert pretty much any vehicle, within reason? What about the cab/chassis/dual rear wheel? Sorry, I know you...

    Sprinter 4x4 Trail Run

The availability of new 1st generation Sprinters must be somewhere between limited and nonexistant. Any thoughts on the specifications (milage/condition) for the conversion vehicle? Couldn't find anything on the website.

    MB 1419 on Ebay

I was wondering, too. Thanks. The oil in the coolant problem could be pretty expensive, but it might still be a good deal. Wish I could bid.

    Blankets: 12 volt heated style

the type of comforter is probably the difference. I've tried using unzipped sleeping bags in combination with the heated mattress pad and it was nice, but down in the teens the sleeping bags have to be zipped to do any good. And then the mattress warmer didn't make much difference. Also, for...

    FG Des Moines Craigslist

Good deal as a combo, because snow plow for the FG is usually an expensive option compared to a snow plow for an F350. If you can sell the plow and dump bed for $3000 or so, then you would indeed have a bargain FG.

    Chevy Kodiak

I've heard of T.T. before but hardly ever see their stuff in overland applications. They seem to do a lot of work- do they only do fleet/government work or just really expensive..?

    Blankets: 12 volt heated style

I have one of those. My personal experience here in Minnesota is even with the mattress warmer it takes a pretty good pile of blankets to stay warm down into the teens and below 0. Using it under a 4 season sleeping bag has a negligable effect. I seem to stay just as warm or, probably, warmer...

    Unique Freightliner

Maybe more unique than relevant to the forum, Freightliner FL70 with, I believe, factory Dodge V-10 that was available for the first year or two of production. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/tls/878978451.html This one might be a little overpriced but would be interesting to see the...
