Got the driver side seat fitted today. I had to buy the seat bottoms out of a 97 but with a little BFH and some love from the drill the set bottom from the 97 fitted to the seat top from the 96. There maybe a half inch misalignment in the seat back from the base. But wen I put in the Escape Gear...
Trucks been super fun this week. It will be my daily for at least a year but I only have a 20 round trip to work and on the weekend we take the wife's LR3 most places.
I just got my 1997 discovery and the seats are shot. The po sent them with a set of manual seats from a 1995 that are in really nice shape. How evey the bases are vary diffrent has any one don't this swap?
Oh so sad that the wife would want a series j/k. When my son is old enought we want to get a early 90 to rebuild for his first car. GM V8 and all! As for now it seems the disco 300 TDi shroud is NLA. So on to ebayuk
Ray you should do it! The Three doors are awesome! you could alway make the Coyote your Family camping truck and the Three door your Solo/Couples trip truck. One can never have to many Discos!

That's good to know. I was going to hook up an EGT guage when it gets here as well as I need to find a line on a fan shroud as livening in Texas I don't want the cooling loss in the summer.
Let you know when the truck gets here. I'm sure it will be slower that the 5 speed. My wife wanted the auto so she could drive it too. Plus I'm not a speed demon.
Thank you. I like the alloys too. I'm pritty excited to get the truck this weekend. I've been out of a 4x4 for a year. My wife nixed my plans for the LR3 cause she wanted it to look street able and not like an off road truck. So needless to say it will be nice it have something to work on again.
After getting the head replaced ( Ash at Geared Resterations is a super stand up guy and fixed free of charge) I'll be getting my Disco this weekend and I'm thinking about getting some series steel wheels and getting them panted green or white. Any opinions on how that might look?
Yes that the one. I'm pretty excited about how good of shape it is in. I've always missed my old Discovery SD and even though I started out looking of a 110 I'm glad to be back in a Disco.
It may have been listed here I got in contact with them through Defender source.
I can ask on the radio. But for about the price of a good head unit you can find a parts Disco.
