If you don’t do a pass through, I suggest a very easy way to get in that does not require deploying a large ladder or platform for road side pit stops.

It is not “normal” here, but there are people that do feel the need to always be armed. I don’t know the statistics, but the vast majority of people are not armed.
With that said, it is probably normal for a former law enforcement officer. They spent their youth around ugly situations and...
Just adding to that.....
With a stair style camper entry, a dog can climb in. There is no way for a dog to get into my cab, I would have to lift her up and throw her in.
I am going through great lengths to maximize my crawl through such that I will have a hunch through. When I get older, I...
Your comparisons are a bit off in my opinion.
You are saying that the reason to buy a big expensive camper is so you can have a pass through.
You should buy the vehicle type you want first based on where you want to go and with what capabilities/comfort you want. Pick the class of vehicle...
One thing to keep in mind is that having a deck in front of your box pushes the weight of your box backwards and makes your truck more rear heavy. I know you have a lot of capacity, but you may want to check your placement on all of your weights. I have planned a pass through for me, but I am...
We plan to do one and are going to great lengths to make it happen so that we do not need to climb down and back up for short stops, bad weather, or roadside rest stops.

If you are bolting through plastic, use nylock
Sometimes locktite will cause plastics to crack.
I have also use vibratite, I use that when threading into plastic.

So I found pivots that would work for the front and rear. I have yet to find any that are split like the side ones the German company’s always use.
Anyone know what those are called? Where to get them?
Thanks!

Has anyone sourced pivot bushings for heavy trucks? Talking 1.5” plus size pins in the front and aft pivot? Or anything close?

I would skip the iso box. They are heavy, they do not lend themselves to putting windows and doors in (no flat walls). They have no insulation, so you loose interior space with the corrugated walls and then insulation. You are wasting money to modify one, just to modify it again to put windows...
I plan to on have a couple of chest fridges on slides so that it is well secured and replaceable when one goes bad. Plus multiple zones ant a lower cost.

There are a series of rollers that run along the frame rail to guide the cable to the drum. At the drum, there is a small sheave that guides the cable into the drum to help it level wind. It has one in the front and back so that it can pull from either side. The drum is skinny and tall, so it...
We put the truck on a car lift and ran it...... no noise when not driving and turning.
I need to find a scanner that can read the abs codes. Mine does not for some reason.
