I purchased a Snomaster 42S from CB Adventure Supply this week. I'm fortunate to live in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex so Martin met me at the Snomaster Wearhouse in Dallas to avoid shipping fees.
I carry a large dog crate at times on top of my Goose Gear drawers so the fridge will go...
The ceiling enclosure has no specific structure to keep it suspended, just the attachment points down all the awning aluminum support poles. It is no issue and I am 6'2.

I'm SOOOOO sorry I missed this post. I'm not sure what happened but I never saw a notification. Anyway, The height of the awning will obviously vary depending on how it is mounted to your vehicle and how tall your vehicle sits. I can comfortably stand underneath mine and I am 6'2...
I'm glad this helped you make the decision. I think it is a good, multi-purpose solution to several issues. Quick and easy set-up is one of them as you mentioned. I keep the enclosed room in the back of the truck all the time.
Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of them set up...
The room attaches along the vehicle side, and the "away" side, using sail track. In other words, the sides parallel with the orientation of the vehicle attach by sliding the sail track into the lip of the awning. The two sides perpendicular to the vehicle uses plastic clips that snap to the...
That's great. I'm glad the response and pictures helped. I travel with my wife, my 16 year-old son, my 12 month-old son, and an 85 pound German Shepherd. Needless to say, we are pretty packed in the 4Runner. I intend to get in the trailer game within the next couple of years, so until then...
I am using the flat Bajarack Picture Album Link Here. The awning is mounted using FourTreks awning mounts. The BlueScrews are ground anchors that can be used for staking out almost anything. In this case, I use them with the two Oztent orange tie down lines to secure the awning.
Yes. I think it will do well, even in moderate to heavy rain. Everything appears seam sealed very well. I would use a ground cover every time as the tent floor is not heavy like an OzTent.
Quick Update:
I purchased the ARB 2500X2500 Touring Room with Floor. Very happy with the setup. I've also been using the BlueScrews (Oztent Edition) for anchor points. They have been working well and were purchased HERE. This was the first time I set up the tent and it was on the driveway...
Hey Airspeed! I'm sorry I never saw the notification on your post. The winch was snug. You might get the larger one on there, but I believe you would have to remote mount the control box/solenoid.
Thanks for the kind words. I don't really know why I posted. I figured more folks would find it...
I'm a GPS nut. I use them in my job as a pilot and have owned Garmin units dating back into the early 90's.
The Garmin Montana 650T is my current all around GPS. I use it to navigate around Dallas, off road, cycle, etc.
Research it.
What a great truck. Having ridden shotgun in it a few times, I feel qualified to say that this will be a STEAL for whoever gets it next. All upgrades were completed correctly with the best equipment.
I have used Blue Sea products for years and they have never failed me. So, yes, simple and cost effective. Regarding your issues with mud and water, I hate mud and go easy in water. I generally don't camp and wheel in locations with mud, especially substantial enough to become caked within...
