Top Reasons Why Your Wife/Girlfriend or Family Do Not Go On Trips with You?

To cure the boredom of the passenger seat, I let her drive some of the mild technical stuff and she loves it. She knows the only time I am a control freak is when it comes to driving (meaning I have to drive), and she feels good that I let her drive some off road and appreciates the lessons I...

    1999 Suburban Question

Check your transmission mount too, it could be something as simple as that causing the clunking. If that is your suspect, get it replaced ASAP or you will suffer a serious internal transmission failure.

Top Reasons Why Your Wife/Girlfriend or Family Do Not Go On Trips with You?

No problems, my wife loves it! and she makes the suggestions a lot of the time on when we should go camping. And while she would prefer a shower, she makes do with "baby wipe" baths before bed and when she gets up. Just not fond of the cold wipes in the morning.

    My Monty went puughhhh..

In my build thread we have a brief discussion about this. The fuel door says to use 91 or higher but the manual says to use 87 octane fuel. I found I get better mileage using 87 and it costs less. I have had no issues with my Monty doing this (yet). I have 111K trouble free miles.

    Gen3 Lift and Tires DONE!!!

Looks really good, Clay. Let us know how it rides with the Lovells. I will be interested to know. The OME HD made the ride a bit harsher, but the fact that I can load it up with all my gear and family and have no sag is a worth while trade off.

    bought a '91 LWB

I don't own a 1st gen, but I'm pretty sure the tires will fit. Also, for regular everyday driving, the transfer case needs to be in the 2H position.

Need ideas for sleeping platform with fridge

Heidi, I think Rex is on to something. Through the sale of the RTT cost of the OzTent should be minimal. Jacki and I still love camping on the ground and we do have a fridge, thus we have not yet stepped up to an RTT. Nothing to be ashamed of having to pitch a tent. The OzTent as Rex mentioned...

gen 2.5 (99) Montero wheel / tire combo.

USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!!! Just kidding, we are not like that around here. Everyone is happy to help. Welcome to ExPo. I am not very knowledgable on the Gen II's but I think you can run 33"X10.5" with no lift and no rubbing. I'm sure someone will jump on here soon that knows more than I do...

2001 Mitsubishi Montero. Ready for any trip.

Sorry, but I don't see a Subaru in our future. Brian, Thanks for posting that up, I might have to explore that option, if you managed to get a phone number would you mind PM'ing it to me or shoot me over a quick text? Thanks. Sure. I don't have too many, but I'll post what I have and get more...
