Curious why SMB installed the incorrect shock for your application and couldn't be more helpful.
I also read in your blog that your van started to leak during a rainstorm in Mexico. What was the issues and was it resolved?
BTW, I really enjoyed reading your blog. I can only dream about the...
I rethinking my rear suspension. My Hawk is about 1400 lbs. Does your add a leafs work well enough to negate the need for full leaf pack? Are your rear shock valving differently?
Big fan. Found the AK series a few months back and binge watched the entire series. Been watching the new series every wed. It was a great episode and very admirable of T5 and the crews to help out the locals. This episode had a bit of weird juxtaposition between the rural village (no first...
There has been many debates between between 3/4 ton vs 1 ton trucks over at WTW. There is a particular thread on GVWR with current gen Tundras. The OP basically stated that with a FWC, its goes over the GRVWR and impacts the driveability. I have a 2006 double cab tundra and definitely feel like...
Any recommendations for a good place to buy tires online?
Its been a few years since I bought tires online. I'm looking to buy 1 Open Country A/T II P285/70/17 tire. The best price I found was on http://www.treaddepot.com/ but they charge for shipping. Tireack.com is great but they don't carry...
Its about time I started a thread about my truck. Sorry I've been working and chasing my 1 yr old daughter around. :sombrero:
My original truck inspired by BajaTaco (God Fatherof expedition ready Tacomas) with goodies from Donahoe Racing, TRD, and URD:
I knew that my family would...
I just notice the narrow strip of metal across your door. Is this something FWC installed?

Brian,
Awesome build! Makes me regret selling my supercharged taco with Donahoe suspension. I now have a tundra dcab with 2015 Hawk with side dinette. I haven't done anything to my FWC yet but next mod is solar. Why did you choose to go with 300W of solar and Blue sky MPPT controller? I'm...
Our daughter is 19 months old now. She sleeps fine at home and we try to emulate the home setting and routine as much as possible. She always sleeps with a sound machine, stuffed animals and 3 lovies in her room. In the camper, we use a ipod with sound machine app.
You'll figure it out the...
Nice rig!! I went through a similar vehicle journey due to the birth of my daughter. My taco wasn't as nice as your jeep thought but it was nicely built and fun drive. I now have a dcab tundra and FWC Hawk with side dinette.
Read your review on BBB.Wander why your review doesn't show up as complaint. Seems like they are still using some picture of your truck on their website. I wonder how Jed and Meg (adventure americas) really felt their camper. Obviously there was sort of agreement in place.
