I have tried all kinds of ways for my fishing trips and I finally settled on neither a ground tent or a RTT but a Hammock w stand and shelter. Off ground...check...shelter..check...comfy..check..and easy setup pretty much anywhere. Great for solo trips.
The F250/350 withe 7.3 Gas and Tremor Package seems to give the best of both worlds, enhanced off-roading capability while keeping the payload and towing that the PW gives up.
And for me there are really only 2 categories of trucks, mid size and HD...the 1/2 tons tons are such a compromise all...
Did you buy your domain before or after overlandhardware.net.....and how come I have never had Overlandhardware.com pop up in a search for Overland....Or a search for Overland gear....an interested buyer would probably really like to see it pop up on page one in a search for overland gear...
Not really, I wasn't really in the market for a teardrop at all until I bumped into this one. I don't really need gnarly off road, forest service roads or unimproved roads on public land is fine for my use. I'm still kinda thinking about it, it might fill the gap for a while until something...
The battery compartment in the front is optimized for 2 AGM's and I do believe it is prewired for external solar, I think its up near the propane grill connection but I would have to check again. I would imagine that using the AC when the Roof top tent is up there would be a no go, but I...
I'm not sure about down payment, they are sold thru RV dealerships and one in my area carry's them so I would imagine its just like any other RV. The same dealership is a Lance, Bigfoot, Airstream, Cirrus dealer and I saw it when I was taking a look at some Lance Truck Campers.
When I first...

While the Tundra does make money for Toyota, if all the Tundra sales disappeared from Toyotas' bottom line tomorrow it would be a blip on the radar....If all the F150 sales disappeared from Ford...there would be no more Ford. I think that is the main point behind the Tundra is really not a...
I think they meant that the Tundra isn't a money maker because it doesn't sell that many of them in the grand scheme of things. The Tacoma outsells it almost 2-1 and just a ballpark I would say the lifetime sales of the Tundra since 2005 is only give or take a couple of million.....Ford sells...
If you are keeping the camper around 1500/2000 lbs (ish) and it seems reliability is a big deal for you, with the 25K budget I would look at the Tundra and leave money for the mods to make it safe. (Que payload police). or an older (lowest mileage best maintained you can find) gas Chevy 2500...
