"and Tanner did what he was told to do" [emoji3] Good boy, Tanner! We stopped by "Andy's" on the way home from the lake this eve. Scout had her first ice cream cone. She also did what she was told to do, (put our trash in the trash can) but I failed to take a pic of that. Sent from my SM-G975U...

I remember, as a kid, my dad would sing the chorus of that song. Don't know that I've seen all of the lyrics before. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

That pic of Tanner and Momma Doe is priceless! The fawns are icing on the cake!

Jerry, your last several posts of pictures are really beautiful! I've always enjoyed the way you illustrate your writing with photos. For some reason, seems like these most recent ones have kicked it up a notch! New phone? Just being back in Montana? That last one of the dark sky...very nice...

It wasn't until I came back to the post today, that I noticed the snow covered peaks in the background of the pics of the kilns. Very nice shots! Foy- always enjoy when someone like you adds a little more "local lore" to Jerry's posts. From cattle drives to charcoal kilns, and so many things in...

Speaking of boots, I meant to ask the other day when you had posted the pic of 3pr (I think it was?), they obviously perform well. What are they? Still envy your way of life! We made a run down the highway yesterday afternoon, hoping to get a pic of Scout in the wheat I'd seen weeks before. I...

I will never forget your friend, Yukon. Such a sweet face on that girl. I think about here when I look at the clouds now too. Montana was before I found your thread about your journey, but I know he must have been just as good of a friend as Yukon and Tanner! I really like the pics you manage...

I always enjoy seeing pics of the petroglyphs. I only wish there was a concrete translation of what they all mean. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Of all the pics of seen, of bags of trash you have picked up, it wasn't until now that it made me think about one of my peeves. Being a city dweller, it chaps me to see a recliner, mattress, chest of drawers and even the plastic bed liners from pick-ups laying on the side of the road. It seems...

Great pics! I especially like the mud drops on Tanner. Before I scrolled far enough I thought they were tics! Did I mention the pics were great!

I was wondering the same, then I remembered it was called Indian Peak. It looks like a marker of sorts, from the Native American culture to me? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

I never knew there were so many volcanos in the US. Of course I knew about Mt. St Helen, and I've passed Capulan countless times. We drove up that when I was a kid. Seems like there is another I've seen in my limited travels. Now I will have to Google and see what else I can learn about others...

I suspect that was due to the topic of the shoot. These photos were taken during a time when the government was trying, once again, to get their land. Many of these ranches have been passed down through multiple generations. Many of the families were told, the last time around, they wouldn't...

As I looked at the clouds on the way in to work this morning, it made me think about you and your travels. I have family in SE Colorado, who raise cattle on a fairly decent sized piece of land. That made me recall a photo expose one of my cousins did on the people of the area. It is a different...

If you take up ranching, I think you will need a bigger spot of ground when you settle in Montana. [emoji16] I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading your posts. Many a laugh has been drawn by them. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

I think the longest I've been "alone" was somewhere around 14 days. I found myself thinking out loud or talking to myself toward the end and when I finally heard someone else talk I realized just how quiet it had been.

I knew that, and your reply made me laugh! Crappy cell phone pics, but I saw a bald eagle while fishing on Saturday. They are not real common in my area of Texas. Only my third, ever, to see. Twice was while fishing.

Have you had a chance to get any pics of the super moon? I know you don't care to fish, but it is a passion of mine. A buddy of mine and I fished a little longer than usual the other night (the fish were biting too good to leave) and he snapped this pic of me in the moon light. If it hadn't...
