Got a Red Truck? Here’s a Red Pop Up for SB Mid Sized Trucks in the Wet PNW

Isn’t this @MYTACO’s Phoenix camper? I haven’t read his whole thread but it seems like it was a lemon. I don’t know if I’d buy it, knowing it’s history.

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Does the average person really need the 6 cyl though? The 4 cyl has great numbers, 300 hp and 300 ft lbs of torque right? That seems like plenty! Sure we would all love the 6 cylinder but LR gave us a way to get into a defender for a lot less money! I appreciate that.

Looking at their configuration build on Land Rover USA, base price is $49,900 for the 110. No diesel as of this moment for us, looks like just a 4 and 6 cylinder gas engines. 18" wheels are standard so maybe a shot at fitting 17" wheels for more rubber. Pretty exciting overall! Still not...

    Vagabond Outdoors Drifter

You are exactly right. I am a production manager and it is incredible to see what Vagabond and GFC were able to put together in such a short amount of time. Plus the supply chain and logistics that goes into getting all the materials required, I’m sure is massive. I hope they can both weather...

    Vagabond Outdoors Drifter

This is exactly why I bought an AT Summit. While they do require 60% deposit, I am picking it up directly from them so the wait time they quoted me was 10 weeks. They just scheduled me for installation at the end of the month which would be exactly 10 weeks. I’ll see if it gets pushed back or...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

That is an odd bar to set for a car marketed to consumers. I’m not sure many people around the world would enjoy driving a vehicle built for those specific purposes as it would likely have a lot of compromises to on road drivability. Take the FJC, it looked a little odd, adopted a heritage...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Personally I think it looks great. I’m not sure what more we could want styling wise, in what will be a throughly modern take on the Defender. I think the overall specs and Moab videos have proven it is a very capable vehicle. I really want one, but I think the price is going to put it out of...

    Custom Ultralight Camper, Seattle

Definitely an innovative camper but way overpriced. You can buy a very well kitted FWC or two AT Summits for that price.

    Comparison shopping: Colorado, Gladiator, Tacoma

A lot of Tacoma 3.5L bashing on here. It really isn’t that bad of an engine, all the transmission issues have been cleared up via TSB for over a year. It just wasn’t really an improvement on the 4.0, which coupled with the tranny issues caused a lot of backlash. However the chief engineer at...

2017 Tacoma Limited 4x4 Flatbed Diesel Conversion

I hope the OP doesn't mind. I took the opportunity to resize and upload some of the photos in dropbox.

2017 Tacoma Limited 4x4 Flatbed Diesel Conversion

Take a look at the dropbox folder linked in the post, it has some great photos of the entire truck. GLWS this is a unique Tacoma for sure.

    Sleeping under campershell?

Here is my build. Really simple. I found it really hard to sleep on the platform with a cab high shell with no windows. I’d really recommend going with a higher shell or low to no platform. The drawer I built is the perfect height for gear but doesn’t leave enough room for sleeping.

Which Tacoma should I be looking for?

When you say 3 TRD’s do you mean the 3 TRD Pro years released or the Sport, Off-road and Pro models? If you are going to build it, skip the pro and use the savings and build the off-road as it has the best bang for your buck. However the pro is better if you want to drive off the lot and go...

WTB Go Fast Camper Platform Reservation

Why don’t you guys look at the AT Summit? Lead times are between 10-14 weeks depending on where you order from.

    Tacoma rear suspension question

I would definitely consider an AAL. Most likely something like the wheelers off-road 3 pack add a leaf where you remove the overload. Since you are not lifting you want to keep the lift to a minimum. With a RTT, Alu-Cab, and a swing out bumper, plus wherever camping gear you have I think...

    2016-2017 F150 4x4 EcoBoost - Real world experiences??

Is the diesel still only available on the Lariat trim level? Makes for one expensive truck!

    F150 - 5.5' vs. 6.5' bed?

I would only recommend the 5.5ft bed for the supercrew if you are in the city. I bought a supercrew with the 6.5ft bed and it was a mistake imo. I purchased it when I was living more on the outskirts of town in my trailer. It was an amazing truck, but I eventually decided to sell my trailer...

    2016-2017 F150 4x4 EcoBoost - Real world experiences??

2 people have eluded to this fact in this thread already but I feel like it hasn’t been stated clearly enough. In 2017 the only engine available with the 10 speed was the 3.5 ecoboost. The 2.7 only came with the 6 speed until the 2018 model year. The reason you are finding only 6 speed with...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Actually I think you are mistaken. The spec sheet showed 4758mm (187.4 inches) for the 110 and a disco 5 is 4970mm (195.7 inches).

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

Curious what you guys think about price. If this really is supposed to help JLR’s financial situation they have to price it competitively so charging a premium for the defender badge doesn’t seem like smart move. Personally I think the D110 needs to be priced below the starting price of the...
