    Electrical Question

for 50Amps voltage drop for 3m of 5AWG (16.8mm2) about 0.3v (at 12v), for 3AWG about 0.2v. Once up to about 90% charged the charging current progressively reduces, until its pretty low and the voltage loss is about 0.

    Electrical Question

welcome to the murky world of fridge comparison. Its marketing that's confusing. The units used by Waeco (1.9 Ah/h) are technically correct for energy consumption. Assuming 12v. If the volts aren't known the better unit is Wh/h The 4.6/Ah for Primus is technically meaningless and requires a...

    Electrical Question

I can't picture a way of automatically separating the batteries for fridge and connecting for vehicle start. If you must then a manual isolator switch would work. While it can, and no doubt is, done, its not recommended, its inherently better to separate vehicle and house. The conventional...

What kind of problems have you had with your Fuso?

200,000 km something is worn, not as bad as some I drove. Something in gate, springs, or linkages. Bad enough to notice, not bad enough to bring it up the todo list.

Canter FG649 SWB Camper Truck Build

I have 23mm walls, 50mm with internal wood slats for roof and floor, Vanglass. I used the 23mm panel as a bed base. Still flat after 3.5 years continuous use. Some flex of side wall over 4m when floor bent as sub-frame sagged at rear. My walls are split horizontally to allow removal of top...

Plumbing 'bus heater' into 04 fg- questions..

I tee'd into cab heater hoses, close to engine. I have one "small" (single 120mm fan), one "large" (2 x 120mm fans), a towel rail and calorifier. No extra pump required. I used standard heater valve. Recently installed motorised ball valve but not yet tested. Very nice to get to end of drive and...

    LED tail light woes!

PS check continuity of resistors. If they've been at 24v may be cooked as it exceeds spec by about 2x. I need to check my maths. 24v needs 24 ohm for 24 watt. ie 4 of those resistors in series. Hence, try old bulb in parallel with leds.

    LED tail light woes!

just a thought ... is you vehicle 12v or 24v 6 ohm at 12v is about 24w which is about equivalent to 21w incandescent flasher (indicator) bulb. If vehicle 24v and bulb 21w then double resistance "should" work. Have you tried one of the old incandescent bulbs in parallel without the resistance...
