This system diagram looks Wrong to me, it Does look like the engine coolant will not flow to the hot water tank, and seems like the two systems, webasto and truck coolant system are not working together.
having a split system is not a solution but just another complex way of having more things...
Yes as John said if it is tied into the coolant system there is no need to for an expansion tank or any problems with air locks.
Mine runs from the engine all the way to the back of the truck passing through two radiator/fan heat exchangers and a Isotemp hot water tank.
So while driving the...
I haven't tracked its exact location but the wiring enters near EGR system on the drivers side, maybe a little forward of that, I can hear it percolating when its on and I think it heats the coolant but I am not sure.
Nice install! I have had my hydronic installed for ten years now without a filter on the intake, I only use it while stationary so no dust enters the chamber or at least none that affect it.
Whats the "plate heat exchanger"?
Good job on the bumper! Looks good, not too big and protruding forward.
The only thing I don't like about the stock mirrors is the angle of the leading edge directs bugs into the side window , and if it's open can lead to some exciting times searching for that half dead wasp that landed...

The pass through was going to be complex, my camper has a lifting roof with hard sides that fall...
If I remember right I am pretty sure I bought the same seats as he did or close to it, mine are cloth covered, I do have some pics of those seats on my thread if you can find them....
We installed two National air ride seats in our FG, 10+ years and 150,000kms and they are still very comfy and perform well. I did have to put a new shock on mine which is very necessary in these seats otherwise you do a lot of boingy boing down the road.
The seats do need some persuasion to fit...
Nice bit of detective work! Good job!
I’m not near my workshop manual so can’t look for myself but where is the tensioner located? Usually I expect to find it on a long chain run but I can’t see it in the pictures.
Kerry, mine is located on the passenger side behind the door where the two latches to release the cab are, there is a simple switch that closes when a tab pushes on to it when the cab is lowered into its cradles.
They wouldn’t be wrong Owen!
