This one was made up by a logging truck re fitter/maker that was hired to repair the pulled wheel stud from when the tire shop goon used Big Bertha the giant rattle gun the wrong way on the drivers side wheel stud while the shop owner distracted me for five seconds! And that was all it took to...
Thanks for the comments!
I did pick up a torque multiplier just before I left for our trip, I am always worried about getting those lugs off in remote locations. Also re and re-ed the suspension with new shocks just prior to leaving......must of had a premonition or something but we really...
Thanks, yeah we go to the interior a few times a year, mostly Armstrong area if you are near there, passing through this year on a partial x-Canada trip in July.
We really like the kitchen, works well for us and we have just finished living in it for seven months. Sink and wood are the most inexpensive bits, I think the sink is an IKEA bar sink and the wood is that cheap laminated pine shelving you find at Home Depot that was epoxied....it was meant...
You are right and its because they are mounted to the roof and have to be out of the way of the interface between the roof and walls that makes them a pain, I still need to get some internal baffles so that the stuff in them doesn't go all over the place but its a welcome bit of light stuff...
From that point work on the truck stopped for a month while we moved, once moved and set up again I tried to go from where I left off but it was a slow grind, I had to find where I put stuff all the time and heck we just finished moving, we weren't very organized.
I did find a bunch of the...
During the summer we had two visitors....
not the deer! even though they did visit, the visitors came in a real nice truck!
I found a nice piece of plyboo at my local hardwood warehouse, one last piece of 1/4" that was used to finally get those drawers faced...
During the winter we got together with a couple of other rigs for a winter camping trip, it normally doesnt get that cold around but that weekend it dropped to -17 Celsius! Which would be our coldest camp out that we have had the truck on. We struggled to keep the camper warm all over , just...
Time for a little update:
This was my attempt at building out a folding step for my truck, it didn't work out even though it looks sorta OK.
Setting it up and working on the geometry of it all.
I put up some edging on it and beefed it up some, made up the support brackets, this was...
Ya but there are lots of folks appreciating the write ups!
We drove TO the Expo from Sedona the same route in reverse a few years back, near the top of Shnebely I stopped a sedan to tell them maybe that its not really a good route for him....must of been something blocking the sign!
Keep up...
I ran out of fuel a while back after my newly installed pickup tube for the espar didn't allow the fuel level float to go down all the way and I was pretty surprised at how little fuel remained in the tank, I did not measure it but would guess no more than two gallons but maybe even less that that.
I suggest a 1" diameter 48" breaker bar with a 48" length of pipe and my experience is that you will need it! Whatever set up you use be it breaker bar or torque multiplier do a test run with it and make sure you can get every single nut off prior to wandering into the wild.
This is how much...
Hey that WD40 was a joke!
There is a switch to prevent starting in gear which would have to be bypassed.........but........somehow I did manage to engage the starter while in gear, it was odd and couldn't make it occur again but it did it twice on me, but that did not un-stick the clutch...
