Just wanted to jump in here with a simple recommendation to top up other good information that is already here, and that is if using a pump to draw water from a source to use a 110 volt pump instead of a 12 volt unit.
If you think about it those small pumps may have decent GPM in normal...
I had my suspension redone a while back too and the fellow who did mine lifted it almost three inches but that caused some bump steer and also required that the steering wheel be adjusted, I am surprised at the amount that you lifted yours and wonder if you have any other issues arising like...
G'day John,
Thanks for the link, great pics and a nice trip they are on! My folks had some property on frasier Isl in the seventies but sold it....bummer because that looks like a good spot.
It seems that ATW USA doesnt sell the cab rack or at least its not listed on the site, do you know...
Hi deathbywanderlust,
I dont really have a good image handy of the floor plan except this one from early posts on this thread, its a pretty simple layout that is relatively close to the pics, sorry.
Thats quite a stretch there! How much is the frame extended on this? Also what is that bull bar thing over the cab?
I like that almost square fuel tank too, is that custom?
So this is your truck right? Looks nice, any more pics or did I miss it?
Ya that access door is in a bad spot, options are to mount a swing away spare tire carrier in front of that door or mount the spare high enough but then it is in the rear window view and the extra weight up high is not...
Are you asking where you should mount it or how?? Is this your actual rig?
If it was me I would mount the spares up higher on the back of the camper to get it off the slanted back end and also move the bumper closer to the body to take advantage of the slanted body and increase the...
I sure did john, too bad there is no sound on the Global vid as it looked like it climbed that hill effortlessly compared to the fire truck, but either way both did really well. Looks like the Global can take on more than that hill. I never got the opportunity to tackle sand hills so I am...
Im sorry, I thought you were having some fun with some numbers there...... the 76% was the number you came up with for the additional patch so I threw it out there, but anyway, I gotta say your numbers I realise were quick and I appreciate that but dont really tell the right story, perhaps a...
Thats like a politician crunching numbers to make something look better, how about that one extra dually wheel is creating 76% more drag in the sand.:)
I know its common to de-rate the GVW but to me it seems counter productive in a way. I went with the FG because if I needed to carry up to GVW I would not have a problem being over gross so could take whatever I felt I wanted or needed with me, and it appears that I will take quite a bit of...
doesnt seem worth it to cut off the headache rack, like you stated, loading stuff on the rear will lighten the front up so just ensure you load the truck properly and keep the heavy items behind the rear wheels.
That flat deck must weigh a ton?
Yeah cant really tell without seeing the other connections but I assume its right just looks odd to see the three + connected together, I did see a method of connecting batteries online so that they all get same same rate of charge/discharge that could be used in this example but cant find it now.
