A few images from our stay in Mexico:
On the mainland we were relegated to staying in RV parks, we are not really geared up for that but did ok, stayed put in Rincon de Guayabitos for a month and were the last rig in the park.
Started on our way north to Chacala beach.
Another...
Nice trip report, really enjoyed it, lived there for five years and was nice to see some of the spots we used to frequent,
Huon pine.....nicest smelling wood!
No we did not catch those lobster, we did buy them off of a local fisherman, the locals are so much better at fishing and collecting things like oysters than us, we are it seems pretty pathetic at catching anything although we are pros at bringing in trigger fish, but we find those to be only...
no problems with the panels at all, very good insulation and it doesnt get hot inside, we do have pretty much the whole roof covered in solar panels and it acts like a tropical roof too, the fantastic fan takes care of any inside heat extraction.
We are on our last days in Baja, soon to take the ferry to the mainland.
Here are a few images from our stay.
LA Bay.
El Requeson.
Juncalita Beach.
Agua Verde.
Had to do the classic climb out of Agua Verde pic.
Some where on the west side between Punto Conejo and...
We are headed down Baja for a few months then over to the mainland for March to hang out with my folks.
I have a few pics here: http://www.overlandcanada.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2776
We have rented out our house for a while and are on a little trip, but before leaving I had the privilege of getting the truck ready to go with no more garage and that minus 15 C weather we had, it really sucked but got it done by taking over the mother inlaws shed and setting up a temporary...
Really enjoyed reading this trip report and great pictures! Thanks.
It was interesting to see the inflatable pontoon kayak too, I have recently just purchased one that was similar to yours and even thought it was the same one but is not, this is the one I got...
Very nice pictures and attention to detail in the interior construction, I do like the centre (keel) storage for the batteries and equipment, most likely those fall into the spaces in the ladder frame.
The rear storage compartment looks like it has access to the interior? Yes? No?
What is...
Andrew would be the best one to answer that but from when I did my suspension upgrade and the info I got from the fellow doing it I got the impression that keeping the lift under 3" ie. mine was 2.5" lift will keep you from doing anything to the drivetrain, although the steering wheel had to be...
I guess I should respond to this too seeing you have included an image from my build, composite panels are not what I would call expensive when you crunch the numbers, more like they are hard to get. Maybe someone can comment on the cost of the WHOLE wall structure on certain types of...
Rob that whole set up is just awesome! Please post more pics, cant get enough of this rig.
Looks to me like you could mount that bike on the rear outside, bad thing about that is it would be exposed all the time, get very dusty etc. but seems like an option, no? How long does it take to...
Looking good Mr D, just keep at it and it will get done. I think making it usable to get out in it would be more important than doing the 4x4 conversion, being able to use it keeps a guy motivated to keep plugging away, then when you have the time do the conversion(if you get any time).
