@nemesisnight congrats! Saw that you are also in the "sold my GravelerXT for a Dweller" group. Welcome. :) My Dweller doesn't have the Anderson, but it's an upgrade I'm considering for my truck/trailer. I would wire it directly to the alternator at the front of the truck, not try and use the...
To my knowledge, there's no such thing yet. Mine came with a pile of manuals from the manufacturer for the toilet, inverter, stereo, AC, etc. Honestly, if there's something you can't figure out, this thread is turning into a manual. :)
Well, we're back from the real test drive for the Monroe shocks: 250 mile round trip with about 2/3 of that on interstate, and 1/4 of that on forest roads.
Interstate: huge, huge improvement. Note that changing the shocks does not change the aerodynamics of the trailer (duh), so it still gets...
I have the SnoMaster on mine, and it's set to 10.7V. I have a generator I bring with me (WEN 2200) for shady/rainy weekends which works in a pinch.
Did you add the conector at the front of your trailer or is that an updated design feature? I like that feature with the Conqueror UEV-490 I used...
I swapped out the shocks like @WillySwan described above. It took me a little longer than him (a little less than 2 hours total), but I chalk that up to his mechanical prowess and my lack thereof. Anyway, this morning I took it for a "spin around the block" for 20 miles to include a few miles of...
@glennsmith15 Did you end up doing the shock swap? Did you see similar results? I'm doing my swap this weekend, but trying to get a consensus that the shock swap is the answer.
If you don't provide honest reviews, what's the point? I'm not selling them or making money on them. Just want to help inform people what they're getting into before they spend a huge pile of cash.
OK, but let's nerd out for a minute, because we're trying to get to the "worst case":
We can agree that weight in front of the axle will increase tongue weight (TW). And that weight behind the axle (in a rigid fulcrum situation, like a teeter-totter on a playground) would decrease TW. But say...
Interesting, I'm trying to think about this from a pure physics standpoint: wouldn't the worst case on tongue weight be with only the front tank full? Because the rear tank is behind the axle, doesn't that actually decrease tongue weight when filled? There's gotta be some effect on overall...
Doesn't appear to be any name brand or anything. Note the warning in the manual; not a heavy duty awning by any means.
That being said, I've had awnings that were super heavy duty, but they're only as good as your tie-down job. Here's a pic of what the Graveler XT was supposed to look like set...
Holy awesome. Really?!? For $150 and a couple hours this trailer will tow like we want it to on the pavement? What do we have to do to get install instructions? [emoji846] Thanks for taking the time and leap to getting this done. If anyone else makes this upgrade, post if you have similar...
That's legit. I also found the tank straps to be loose, but I try not to turn the trailer upside down too often. [emoji846] In all seriousness, though, I've been looking to do that similar mod to make it snug and lockable but haven't had the time. I love the idea of the Jerry can holders. I have...
By the way, I forgot to add pics of the inline fuse for the CO alarm. I soldered this into the positive line per the alarm manual. Both red lines go together from the alarm to the fuse, then to the positive battery line. 1A fuse. Easy to find at any ACE or hobby shop.
Sent from my Pixel 5...
It's not better, just different, but I have a Hi-Lift that lives on the trailer (on the spare tire rack cross-beam) and a couple jack stands that live in my truck. I've also got a bottle jack like that one (I think I have the SafeJack version) that lives in my truck. Haven't had to use it on the...
I'm not gonna say impossible. I'm gonna say so unlikely it wouldn't be a concern to me. I would argue bears *could* get into even a hard side trailer if they were properly motivated. But this little lady wasn't too big. Those are my footprints next to it. Maybe 4" across? Very small bear.
