How does the front driveshaft hook back up with the diff dropped? We can only see it being able to come down maybe 3/4" before the driveshaft joints are in a bind.
Van looks good!
It had Transit Offroad spacers on top of the struts. The passenger side CV joint was maxed out at ride height. The CVs will be blown out after a few miles when the tires go back on.
SEMA show photos of an AWD front end. This van had 2" front strut spacers on it. The short side CV was maxed out at ride height... We will be dropping the subframe to do it right and keep the CV axleshafts alive.
It won't be a kit for a long time. We might get a low roof 130 this winter and do another build so both Rob and I have built Transits. It will be done in similar fashion, but much more refined with pre-fab cross-members that should speed up the conversion process and now we know what parts to...
Update - 300 miles of mixed driving so far. Van is getting about 11 mpg, better than expected. The range is so much better with the 40 gallon tank. Was only getting 12-13mpg as a 2wd van. The speedo is correct for the tire size with the tone ring mod. The divorced Atlas transfer-case is very...

Front end is wrapped up and assembled.
All the little small stuff like brake lines, wheel speed sensors, power steering, exhaust, fuel tank, front drive lines and transfer case shifter are done.
Steering system has been bled and we started up the van for the first time since December....

Van Compass 2.5" Transit lift kit -$1700

We actually charge $1200 to install. We work with two techs and bust out the install in 5-6 hours typically. 100/hr per tech. We have stopped offering installation services and need to take the rates off the site though.
We are trying really hard to develop more fun products for our customers...
