I looked at those.. they are very nice and would be a better alternative. I think it may be just a smidge too long. IIRC the space between the two RTT support brackets is just under 36".. the Dee Zee box is about 35" wide at the base (lid is wider). The Jobox is 36" wide and would not fit...

I mounted my rear jacks on the RTT mount. Seems to be a good place.

When I bought mine they had no idea how long it would be on backorder (initial estimate was 2 months) but I got mine in less than 3 weeks, you may get lucky.

I tend to agree with you 100%.. it was hard for me to pull the trigger on this trailer, heard too many horror stories of their products. But I figured it was a good enough platform to start from that any thing that wasn't up to par I could address with a welder and a plasma cutter. That being...

The side boxes store dry goods (Mountain House pouches), first aid, recovery gear (the lighter stuff). Not 100% sure what else I'll keep in them. As for the tongue being close to the spare and fuel cans.. you are correct. Its close. The tongue box will hit the tire (barely) if I get it at 90...

This could be done, but you would have to cut through the back wall and into the generator compartment as well. I think contacting Partner Steel and having it made 17" and with a right exit, or front exit hose might just be the ideal ticket though.

Not a good pic, I was just taking it to see how it towed. And one with the RTT up top, not fully mounted.

You know I was thinking about this. If you look at the photo you can see the stove is right up against the left side wall and the latch is right up against the right side of the stove. The only reason it works is because the hose sorta snakes around the right side under the latch. If if...

My plan is to build a substructure that ties into the bottom of the existing rear "frame" and allows me to build a swingout bumper with tire carrier. I bought a bunch of 2x2x.120 wall sq box to make it out of. Maybe a winter project though, it hot out. I just finished up modifying the RTT...

I am hoping to mount the propane on the tongue area currently occupied by the spare tire once I move it. I mounted an Odyssey group 31 battery in the tongue box along with a 10 amp shore power charger. The plan is for solar and obviously the truck will charge it going down the road but for now...

I agree.. the "kitchen slide" should accommodate a larger stove. I found a Eureka Spire version that fits.. minus the brass fitting for the tank. I replaced it with a hose and it now works. But its bass-akwards IMO... the opening for grill controls should be on the backside so you can stand...

Unfortunately I had to use adapters. The drums it comes with are really designed for a smaller size trailer, all the 6x5.5 drums I could find are designed for larger trailers and had a much larger outer bearing. So adapters it was.

That's how I bought mine. No rims and tires. (4999 vs 5999) Put matching rims and tires for my truck on it.
