Helping a friend/client to sell his Chevy 4x4 van that is in excellent condition. Would make an awesome rig for a family as-is (has three rows of bench seats with seatbelts) or it could be a sweet blank slate to do a full build-out. Unmolested - only aftermarket work is the quigley 4x4...
Isolator and on/off switch are sold. I will also add that I have 6g red wire and 4/0 battery cable wire (all wire is marine grade, ancor brand). If interested, PM me and I can measure exactly how much I have.
That thing is awesome! Love to see a composite camper on the e-series chassis. Any rough estimate on cost for the box + windows & doors + subframe (materials and/or install)? Totally cool if you don't want to share.
Cleaning out my electrical parts bin, description, condition and price of each item listed below. Located in Santa Cruz, CA. Local pickup ideal, shipping possible at buyer’s expense. Feel free to make an offer on any item. I’d prefer these to get put to use by somebody than take up my limited...
Love the ERV builds - and appreciate you keeping things updated as you learn along the way! Looks like you're also in the general bay area (I'm in santa cruz). Will keep an eye on the thread for future developments!
Wow, that seems like a very fair price and awesome base to start from. What is the interior standing height in the box?

I've seen a few conversions of those - like the other guy said, schoolies and box truck conversions are going to be more common (but similar). There was a sweet turtle top that was converted to 4x4 that went up at one of the auction sites a year or two back that was rad.
Space wise, they offer...
Hah, that's great. Gotta hand it to 'em for ingenuity and a different approach. I'd be curious to know what the rear axle weighs in at with the camper pushed so far back... But I'm sure it's within limits, given that it's a drw, e450 (I'm guessing a retired U-Haul van that had it's original box...
Very cool - definitely looks like a former emergency response vehicle (based on mileage and sticker residue on back door). They often end up with low mileage.
Always makes me wonder how much they got it for at auction compared to how much they're selling it for now.

My first thought was, " sweet lord, why would you raptor line the entire thing black." Then I saw the last photo and remembered that it was previously bright yellow, haha.

Holy ******* lol. This sold for for $24k, $29k after fees. Guess the pandemic-era prices on 4x4 ambos are still in effect.

Not even that, it'll just be the exact same ambo without a build listed for $35k - "single owner, garage kept, legendary million mile motor." Lol.
All joking aside, i love the woodgrain steering wheel.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems like a decent deal. Looks like a ujoint 4x4 conversion w/ the front leaf springs and bumper, no?

I suspect your challenges selling fall in to the category that i like to consider.... "Who is the audience that will realistically buy my van." IMO there's a pretty big audience for 2000+ vans, especially 4x4, especially sportsmobile conversions (despite their actual quality). As you get older...
I'm always a little confused when people suggest that a Quigley conversion is rare... I suppose it's more rare than a 2x4, but it's hardly rare these days.
If you're the owner, you may want some interior photos...
