Agreed, though my best luck was if you leave early in the morning (5-6) and you can make it out there in reasonable time. Eat dinner in Palm Desert or Springs and drive home. Long day but it's worked well for me.

Great pictures, I love going out there. I try to make a point of it at least a couple times per year.

Looking more at the front end, I think the headlights are what is suspect, that combined with the bars in the grille look like an overgrown Suzuki Equator. Otherwise the rest of the design is ok.

Interesting, since the new one has a lifetime warranty anyway, you should be fine. 100a is plenty imo.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for power mods, you may want to look at thenewx or other 2nd gen forums. That said, a free flowing exhaust, intake, and tuner (if available) can all both add hp and increase mpg. I'd suggest after those simple and fairly proven mods, trying to save some...

To update this thread: I was able to get 46k out of my 245/75r16 AT-IIs. I replaced them not out of lack of tread, but they began to howl too loud for my commute. Maybe I'm sensitive, but it was too much, add to that the fact that their feathering gave me quite the wobble at 55, and I replaced...
