All true. The morons at TFL Truck proved your last point quite adroitly with their Defender...though I'm convinced they did so for the clicks. Knowing how your TR system works, which modes to use, when to disable TC / ESP, and yes, when to air down a bit when you have the sidewall to support...

The short answer is, yes, the brakes are large, and the MHEV uses regenerative braking to recharge the battery. If you get the P300 vs the P400, you can get 18" wheels, and with mods, you can get an 18" wheel on the P400. With 18's you can get a 255/70 on there and pretty much go anywhere you...

I don't want a PHEV at all. I want Land Rover to wait to electrify their Discovery and Defender lines until 400 miles of real-world range can be reliably achieved without a Hummer EV sized 9,000-lb vehicle.

The article makes it sounds like Tata is out of touch with the necessity of the investments Bollore was directing. Wondering what the background really is - but the failure to maintain a contract with a key supplier, or to negotiate a supply chain strategy that could mitigate being a small...

It's still a little too easy being green for my tastes. Maybe with a matte wrap, or if it was more olive/OD than sage....

2020 Land Rover Defender is a Nightmare

They drove it like idiots and blew a tire. Land Rover runs OEM street tires on stock vehicles at Poison Spider and Hell's Revenge, and they're not dragging vehicles off the route. It's pretty simple, really - as slow as possible, as fast as necessary. That eight-inch rock is well within the...

2020 Land Rover Defender is a Nightmare

I run those very tires on my 2017 Disco on rougher/tougher trails than that in Colorado and they run just fine - they lined up head on to a square edged obstacle and practically floored it. That is, of course, the best way to intentionally blow a tire and get lots of click$. If, on the other...

But have you tried on Social Media? Be polite but direct, be public, post on their social media accounts and set up alerts to know when they post so you can get in early in the thread. Tag all the hot buttons.

Give the dealer one try to make it right, then escalate directly to JLR NA. If you don't get satisfaction from the dealer, the best way I've seen people get a response is to get on JLR NA's Twitter or Insta feed and politely but clearly comment that you are dissatisfied with the vehicle. Their...

And so because a "celebrity" uses Land Rovers, they're not credible as overland vehicles? I don't understand your reasoning.

    New Defender 110 Electrical Doubts...

This. The two most unreliable cars I've ever owned were a Subaru and a Volvo. Against my better judgment (but bowing to SWMBO's desires), we recently got a 2022 Volvo XC60 B5. Volvo bricked it with their second OTA update and it took the dealer two days to figure it out. My 2017 D5 has never...

Melting and cracking plastic trim in Cal

I would say, go with a clear solar-blocking film for the windscreen and legal-limit IR tint for the other windows as your best bet. the IR-rejecting solar windscreens are standard on LR's now and you would not believe how cool they keep a black-on-black interior.

Rearly Really wish we could have got the TdV8 in the US from the factory. Would have been perfect in the L462 Discovery - plenty of room under the bonnet.

a creative solution for hidden long gun storage in your truck

One would have to install some kind of sealed case or enclosure in there - the one pictured doesn't look fully sealed. Lots of trouble and agree - not super accessible, but potentially secure as few thieves would think of looking in there.
