I use the same compressor and I ended up using a 80 amp fuse, and that's with a unload valve between the tank and the compressor. started with 40A then 60A which works most of the time but will blow if it cycles too much. Moved to 80A and have not had any more problems.
I took the unit apart...
It is a older surflo single fixture pump.. The tag is gone now but I remember 1.2gpm free flow and the pressure switch is on at 15psi and off at 35psi.
I have been using one for about a year and a half and it so far has been perfect. I bolted a small 12 V diaphragm pump right to the front of it, about !.2 gpm and with the flow control on the eccotemp you can easily get 2 or 3 showers out of a 5 gallon can or if you have a water source its...
For my 2007 tacoma I use a group 31 Sears platinum agm battery. that runs everything< fits in the stock posititon. for a backup I use a 22ah agm that fits on the driver side fender behind the fuse box outboard of the master cylinder. That's enough to start the truck weather freezing or 120 Deg...

We have a guy at work that has had a Edgestar running in the back seat of a double cab Tacoma continuously for over a year with no problem. He is more of a prerunner guy and the thing has seen some lumps and bumps. It does seem to suck a little more juice but I believe it cools better than my...
