Paging Mr. Redline....
So what are your thoughts on the new footprint and sidewall of the next generation of FCs...
I think that the traction in mud and clay will improve while still performing well in the snow. As I'm not totally happy with the Cooper ST Maxxs I'm running I think I'll give...
LOL...I couldn't resist bustin' your chops. By the way I find clay pigeons to have a earthy taste and texture and they don't cook up as nicely as a wild turkey.
Please feel free to PM here or over at AAV if you need more info on explorin' the woods around here. I'd be happy to share some ideas on places you can disperse camp in the ANF and new territories for you to roam elsewhere in the state. Also we'll be doing another run down the Pine next spring...
Thanks for sharing your romp through our "backyard". An excellent tale and well told. You managed to hit some of our favorite spots here in the Keystone State, though there's a lot more to experience.
If you really want to experience the Pine Creek Gorge its best to do it by boat. Heres some...
You guys started your trip in our extended backyard. The ANF has become the "Land of the Gated Roads" over the last few years but if your willling to get out of your ride and lace up some hiking boots you can immerse yourself in some great scenery. There are also some damn fine trout streams...
No...Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you got some useful info out of this rambling thread. I just saw your message on my profile page, I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner but I don't spend as much time on the old portal like I use too.
Anyways regarding this...
Agriconver only...
My brother in law has the Tundra AC, I have a Tundra DC and I recently bought my daughter an '01 Tacoma DC. I've ridden in the back of them all. The rear seats in the Taco DC sit a bit lower than the Tundra AC but are more comfortable and have more leg room. The Tundra has more hip room but not...
Excellent...I might try a float from Cochranton to Franklin Saturday since its practically in my backyard. I'll have to check the gauge though but our 'yaks don't need as much water as your ocean liner.
Nope, two guys say they want it, but nobody's forked over the cash yet. If it wasn't for...
Nicely done on the trailer but on to more important things...So did you float from Cambridge Springs to Seagertown or Meadville to Cochranton? How was the water level? About every other creek other than the Allegheny is getting to low to paddle but I haven't checked out French Creek this year...
Your welcome and thanks for checking out American Adventurist.
We'll be heading that way late July. We're gonna cruise on through northen Vermont and New Hampshire and than into the big woods of Maine. We haven't been up that way for a few years and will probably just roam around with the...
'97 to '06 are the TJ years. LJ is the common moniker for the TJ Unlimited built between '04 and '06 though i think they were designated TJL by Mother Mopar.
We're running a Cooper made tire called the Wild Spirit, its a moderate AT tread with fair void, nice tread stagger and lots of sipping. The combo of the 4Runner's drivetrain and these tires have made it a very good snow runner. The 255s are on the factory rims and tuck into the fenderwells...
We've baked a lot of apples but have never stuffed them. Going to have to remedy that after reading this thread. What kind of apples do you guys use for grilling? I prefer Northern Spies, Granny Smiths or Fujis when we cook 'em up.
When we swapped the factory 265/60/17s to the 255/70/17s that are on the wife's 4Runner now, she too complained off the drop in mpg registering on the vehicles display. MPG had went from 18.9 average mpg down to 16.5. After having her calculate it the old fashion way and comparing it to the...
