Beating a dead horse, but.... Hiking boots?

I am on my third pair of asolo 520's they are extremely durable, waterproof, and provide excellent protection on rocky trails and wet trails. I have walked across many streams and my feet stay dry unless the water goes over the top of the boot. They are heavy initially and do require a break in...

new to subaru, where do I need to be?

I had a 2005 forester x that had many hard miles in the mountains of WV frequently on forest roads. Head gaskets are an issue but if you change them when you do the timing belt and water pump it can be a great financial benefit. These are incredibly tough vehicles that can take you many places...

    Subaru advice (newbie)

As stated above the forester is shorter, so turning radius is amazing. The amount of stuff you can cram into a forester is insane, I hauled generators, 10 cubic foot wheel barrows, firewood ect. Handles forest roads with aplomb, not to mention snow , and the twistys. The departure angles are...

Thanks for the advice, seems to be a definite risk buying a Tacoma in the mid Atlantic area. The fly and buy definitely seems like the way to go.

    Tacoma Frame Questions

I have been driving a Subaru for the last 8 years and I am thinking about getting a Tacoma. I will be looking for a used model. I know this question has probably asked many times but what if any years are not impacted by the rusty frame issue? I will be generally looking for a 2007 or later...

Lowa Tibet vs Ranger vs Asolo TPS

I have the asolo 520's and they have been excellent. They provide superior protection in rocky terrain and the only time my feet have gotten wet is when the boots have been completely submerged and the water came in over the top. They provide excellent protection for the outer ball of the foot...

    Geo Tracker parts compatibility

A great looking rig, for an east coast rig it is the perfect size. I checked the frame and it is fine. I have sourced a grille and headlight and a quick removal off the bumper and some appalachian engineering it should be complete. The rig has complete maintainence records and is pretty rust...
