    Best 'Aggressive AT' Tires?

I've found "aggressive" and "AT" to be mutually exclusive. My honest answer to an aggressive AT is an MT in the flavor of your choice. However, the only tire I have used, that is even close to this description was the old Dunlop Rover RT. You can see from the huge outer lugs that most of you...

    Family exped truck

This is how we used our 1996 Discovery - for 16 years! Still one of the best vehicles we have ever owned. Keep in mind that nowadays, these are getting long-in-the-tooth, so expect some required maintenance. Sold the Disco in 2012, and our 1965 109 stepped-up to family hauler status. Personal...

Solving the gas Crisis - 95 Discovery I

Save the D1 stock rear springs - their progressive spring rate is really nice in the back of a RRC. Regarding fitting 750's, you only need to trim this much (from "inside" the wheel well) so you will not even see it! Tom P.

Storage box solution? That isn't outrageously priced

Wolf pack boxes are great for stand-alone storage - sturdy, light, stackable. For dense storage, like tools, this is about as large as I like to go. Tom P.

    Water cooler/storage

I use NATO 20 liter plastic water cans - have had them for close to 10 years. I also use the blue plastic 5gal jugs you see through camping supply shops. Both work equally well. The only trouble has been keeping them from freezing, and the blue plastic cube-shape may have an advantage here...

    Sealing Metal Jerry Cans

Replacement. Seriously, if you are even considering transporting or storing gasoline you NEED a leak-proof, sealed container. Anything less is darwinism... Tom P.

    Some Series Advice

I will add that I simply find SWB trucks too small - even when traveling alone. While I appreciate the smaller turning radius, I'd never trade this for the space in my 109. It's not just interior space, but also front seat legroom as well. No 88's for me. Tom P.

    California fuel storage containers...

Please report back after you have had them on the trail. The appeal of the NATO fuel can has always been the reliability of the clamping-lid/leak-proof design. I just don't see that with a CARB-compliant plastic cap. Tom P.

    Roof Tent Access Hatch

This is for a folding fabric sunroof. I thought about possible roof top tent access, but I'm not really a rooftop tent kinda guy. Tom P.

    California fuel storage containers...

What does this mean? Is a NATO can not a military container? Old to new mine are all the same... Tom P.
