Garmin NUVI 750 4.3" touchscreen GPS

For the past few years I used my hand held Lowrance Ifinder Expedition C as my vehicle nav system. Just this past August I bought a Garmin Nuvi 660 and now the Lowrance is used strictly for hiking. I love the Garmin. I have loaded the Topo maps on it and they are quite good. I am suprised at...

    Fly Fishing

If she wants to try it I highly recommend going on a guided trip. This is how I got hooked on it. I had spin fished my whole life then ended up getting a one day guided trip for a gift. That was all it took. And they supply all the gear she'll need. She won't have to buy any equipment and...

Comparison of MV-50 to other compressors and CO2 tanks

Great write up. I too bought 2 MV-50's a few years back for $25 each. Both still work great. I keep one in the truck and on in the Chaser.

    The Perfect Brew........!

If you like porters and you like coffee you have to try this. I love it! Kona Brewing's Pipeline Porter made with Kona Coffee! If you also like a very hoppy beer and IPAs you have to try this one. It's made by Boulder Brewing and called Hazed and Infused Dry- Hopped Ale.

Are the AT trailers worth it?

Our Chaser has the Eezi Awn 1800 on it and it has plenty of room for me, my wife and our 10 year old daughter. Think of it as the size of a king bed, 70"x96" I believe. If you're short you can sleep the short way and have tons of shoulder room. I'm 6'2" so that is harder for me. I prefer to...

We're up there quite often. My sister and her family live right there in Placer Valley just below Montgomery Res. We have some land about 30 minutes south near Trout Creek Pass.

Whats the best gps for offroad navi

As mentioned above it depends on how you plan to use it. For me the Garmin 550 makes no sense. I have a Lowrance hand held unit that I use for hiking and climbing. The Nuvi 660 is strictly for the vehicle. It has a larger and higher resolution screen than the 550 which I really like for...

Sleeping pad for Truck Bed Platform

Sorry I did not read your post close enough. Yes it is an open cell pad but believe me it is warm and comfortable being that it is 4" thick. Not cold like an air matress. We use an Adam and Eve sleeping bag set with them and stay very warm. I can see how you might have trouble finding what...

Whats the best gps for offroad navi

I also use my Nuvi for off road navigation now. The Lowrance Expedition is saved for hiking. I have the Nuvi 660. I bought a cheap 2 GB card and loaded the Topo 2008 on it along with a bunch of mp3s and photos. Now I have topo, music and photos all on the Nuvi. I use city streets for the...
