ordered 2 of these overland ham decals last week from ~ http://www.hamdecals.com
Mine arrived today, hassle free transaction
great communication and design
decals look very impressive, now for warmer VT weather so I can get them installed
not sure if I'll place one on each side or just the rear...
Sir,
so sorry I havent been in here in a while
I hope you got my Pm about this a while back before my computer crashed
I tucked them up under the head liner, down the windshield post and out under
Decided I wanted to hide another geocache up in the mountains
so off I went to a spot I scoped out on the delorme topo program
I decided it was going to be a guardrail cache, these seem to be popular among the geocachers
I then did some sight seeing on a trail I wanted to do during the...
I upgraded my Yukon several years ago to BFG TA KO's in 33's or 285/70/17
the ride is so much smoother, I dont feel all the bumps as I did with the 265's
I dont travel a lot, so gas mileage doesnt affect me
I had to trim one area in the rear wheel wells to clear a rubbing issue and you might...
Yes thats exactly what I did
Bushcoat gave me the idea
the only issue is that it might not clear the bumper, hence my slight trimming to get it to recess into the slot
& I added chains off to the side over to the tow hooks to help tighten it down
there is no movement in it as it ought to be
Got the new ram mount for my old Delorme PN 20 finally installed, I installed Topo 7.0 on it
Mounted it on the center console where it can still see the sky but is not blocking my field of view when driving
I've been a fan for a few years
adore all the videos etc
my only complaint against them as a fellow amateur radio operator is their lack of proper ID in the videos
I see they often use tactical callsigns, cool
they make mention that all of the crew even down to the cameramen are using ham radios...
me & Jr went exploring a trail I never got to include in the gmc4x4 event back in 2013
I followed Mikie in case, so I could tow him back & then thought what if I get stuck I dont think his jeep could hold me as an anchor
anyways it was fun, my rigs covered in mud & his looks fine, I rolled...
Sir,
living in the rust belt sure has its problem
I've only used the winch to pre-load and then again to test it up our inclined dirt road the whole length of the cable
its a powerhouse I must say
no problem on ham gear etc, it'd be an honor
I'll check out your build thread too
on a side...

Back Country Navigator Review
I decided to test out this program using the GPS built into my Samsung Tab2 I bought from a fellow overland here last year
Surprisingly it works !
I really like the app & need to select some other map options to see if the detail improves
Magellan TRX App Trial
not sure who has seen this app or device yet ~ http://www.magellangps.com/Outdoor-Navigation/Magellan-TRX-Off-road-GPS-Navigation
by no means will it replace a map or compass yet a stand alone GPS unit either
I see all the discussions about the Gaia app & thought I'd try...
little Mikes water pump went in the jeep last friday, sunday I gave him a hand replacing it, now I remember why I hate....
