AEV SALTA WHEELS WITH 37" MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ ON MY 3500 RAM

I really like the look of these Aev wheels. I have received lots of parking lot compliments too. I like that they don't have the fake bead lock bolts. Not sure why all the bro wheels feel that is mandatory these days? I have had good luck with Mickey Thompson MTZ in the past. Great off...

    3/4 Ton... Dodge or Ford?

power wagon @ $21k you could find a pretty nice used Power Wagon. Then you wouldn't even need to upgrade anything! If I were looking for mid 2000's gas 3/4 ton trucks. That would be my pick. Every once in a while you can even find a PW with a manual. In my neck of the woods, a 2005-2008...

    AEV Prospector first drive

dis I should say I am not trying to disrespect any of you riding around in those prospectors! They look spectacular, and I am sure they work well for the purpose that you bought them for. Just spewing my opinions hoping to share some of my knowledge and experience to help others make...

    AEV Prospector first drive

I take nothing personally. Just putting my opinions out there like the rest of us! I am pretty sure I am exactly AEV's target customer. I own 3 ram trucks, which are used for work, hauling trailers and equipment, as well as pleasure hauling the family and pushed off road as hard as anyone...

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

but A one ton truck sucks as a daily driver. Make sure you are going to use it before you go buy one! My wife always asks how my new truck drives and my answer is always........."like a moving van"

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

east west East of the Mississippi river - I would get a F150 or Ram 1500 eco-diesel, unless I needed payload or towing capacity of an HD truck West of the Mississippi - I would recommend a Ram 3500 or F350 with a Diesel, IF you actually go off road. If you stick to logging roads, same as east...

Let's see some lifted, crew cab ram 2500 with camper shells

long bed extra height I also vote for the extra height. I spend a lot of time getting in and out of my topper be it on trips with the kids or getting tools for work. I went with an ARE MX topper. Had some issues with the first one, but the second is going strong with some hard wheeling...

Power Wagon is awesome BUT... F350 with locker is probably better

I start my negotiating at ram dealerships at $12k under sticker price. Never paid more than $11k under sticker. You can get the same deal on a PW

    NEW RIG: 2012 F-150 FX4

miss dodge? That payload capacity is impressive for a half ton! How do you like the 150 compared to your old dodge? Any regrets on stepping down to a half ton? Does it handle the trails you ran your old dodge on just a well? Probably quite a bit faster than the cummins! Enjoy it!

Power Wagon is awesome BUT... F350 with locker is probably better

ford Sounds like you are sold on the ford! Go get it, and wheel the snot out of it. Take some pics for us. The best advice in any of these threads is to get the one YOU like best and like driving the best. Take one of each home for the night and drive the family/significant other around in...

Power Wagon is awesome BUT... F350 with locker is probably better

dodge In my experience a dodge/ram is the best performing pick up off the road. I have owned 1/2 ton and 1 ton ford and dodge trucks, and could take the dodges further any time. I have driven my CCLB 2014 ram with a cummins and 37's places most people only take quads. Never a hiccup. Tons...

    AEV Prospector first drive

seriously Seriously is right. I don't even think their suspension has any value? $1900 for a level kit? for that price you could get carli coils, and fox shocks. I think this AEV stuff is not even in the ball park? The stock coils on the RAM trucks are STIFF!

To super duty or not super duty....that is my question..

People always forget to mention that resale on a diesel is MUCH higher and often ofsets the initial purchase price or more. Overall I dont think maintenance is much more expensive if DIY. The one big expense that shocked me when moving to big diesel trucks was tires. I regularly got 60k miles...

1500 series quad cab overlanders....your thought please.

full size you can wheel a full size down any of those trails. I have ran Elephant hill, black bear, and countless other moderate Colorado and Utah 4wd trails in a CC 1/2 ton. The only time you will notice the extra width is with all the elbow room and space between the kids. I have no idea...
