I'm about to turn 58 and I have been falling much more often than I used to. Always seems to happen on a downhill and than I'm always mad at myself because a few years earlier I would have been able to save it.
We don't have to stop doing what we love as we get older, we just need to be more...
I feel for you Jerry. My dog Luna and me were supposed to go to Alaska in September but she ended up breaking a toe.
With recovery time she wouldn't have been able to do all the hiking, so the trip has been postponed a year.
Hated to do it, but the trip wouldn't be the same without her. Here's...
We weren't feeding the bear. My wife volunteers at an animal sanctuary and we release possums and raccoons here on the property. We have been putting food out for them for the past 26 years and this was the first bear we have seen.
After this initial visit the bear never returned.
You either took a photography class or bought a new camera because your pictures seem much clearer. Thanks again for taking us all along on your journeys. Enjoying your trip as always.
We've been here for 26 years and this is the first time we've seen a bear. He's eating dog food that we put out for the raccoons and possums. My wife, me, and my 130 lb. Newfie mix are about two feet away and as you can see he doesn't seem very concerned. He looks really skinny so we sent a...
After 26 years of owning Rams, I went with a F-250 for my retirement truck. It came down to the flat floor in the crew cab for my dogs and the 7.3 V-8. So far so good. I got away from the diesels because I no longer needed it, but if I were to get another diesel I'd go back to Ram. The best...
The problem is that too many people show no respect for the land and damage it by going off trail and throwing trash everywhere. Look at how much trash Jerry has picked up and packed out over the years. If the abuse of public land continues eventually there won't be much public land available...
Thanks for taking the time to take us along on your travels. Really enjoying the places you go and adding many to my to do list. Do any of these plaques give any information on what some of the symbols in the petroglyphs mean?
I agree completely. Jerry, the more Alaska pictures you give us the more I'll want. I look at any and all things Alaska and my first trip is planned for August.
My Tremor sits in an outside garage on my rock driveway. I had to dig two trenches a foot deep and the length of the garage to get it to fit without scraping the roof.
I bought a 21" Ford F-250 with Tremor package after driving Rams for 28 years. I had planned on getting a Powerwagon but as you said, the back was just too tight for 3 large dogs and I couldn't get past that dial shifter.
So far I really like the Ford except for the crappy mpg's, but I expected...
My newfie mix is the same way. Every time we walk in the snow I have to stop every so often to clean out her pads as they fill up with ice balls. Tried a pair of booties on her, but she wasn't having it, so we continue with stop and clean. My other two dogs are completely unbothered by it and...
I have a '21 F-250 with Tremor package and so far it's been great. I did a 1,034 mile day when I went to pick up my Kenai and it was very comfortable and a great highway cruiser. Was very stable with the camper, but I will probably install a rear stabilizer before our Alaska trip.
