I want to say when I put my Jeepswag synthetic line on, the instructions just said to put a few wraps of electrical tape around the end and the drum, and then start feeding it on...I've also seen set screws that attach the very end to the drum. Perhaps that little bit of terminus is enough to...
Kobalt makes a storage box that fits between the wheel wells and is flush with the top of the bed rails; had it on my last truck. There was enough room to fit a jerry can on either side of the box as well which was cool. Would definitely recommend it! Don't feel like you have to go pelican to...
Hella 4000 Metal Euros here. I converted them to HID a long time ago and the amount of lighting is impressive. I'm sure the 100w bulbs would do just as well. I've had them on my rig since 2008...rock solid metal construction, that reliability alone has sold me on them!
I'd also go with a...
I just made my own crossbars out of 1x2" rectangular tubing. The tubes were barely above the roof and the tent was way lower than when I had it on Yakima bars. It also allowed mounts for things like a hi-lift bar on the side with a little bit of thick angle iron. The tent was solid bolt...
lol, didn't have any intentions of being super stealth. One of the benefits of going with the max coupler is the tighter tolerances over using a pintle. Sort of defeats the purpose of having a smooth working coupler when both ends are loose.
So I finally took the plunge and purchased a new max coupler for the offroad teardrop. There is a large amount of play where it bolts into my trailer tongue. What is the most common solution to removing the play?
A) Wrap coupler with duct tape to fill void.
B) Drill and tap top and side of...
Truck is set to around 2.25" of lift. Side note, since all 235/85's are E rated (meant for duallys), they were very heavy from what I remember...around 58 lbs? So don't expect a mileage gain over 265/75's.
These are 235/85/16 stretched onto 16x8 Land Cruiser 80 rims.
Same tires on 16x7's
We've got nearly identical setups at this point, but I did the switch from 4.30 to 4.88 a long time ago. I mainly did this while running 285/75, but since dropped down to 265/75 for better towing my teardrop (<1,000 lbs). It's still a dog regardless. I had 68 lb. treadwright wardens on for...
Mine is doing the exact same thing right now. Replaced with new pads and rotors, didn't solve the issue. I'm running a pretty heavy setup: Front and rear bumpers, sliders, winch, drawer system, etc. It's just weird that I never had the issue for the past 100k, now I can't get rid of it...

The lower portion of the kitchen still needs to be built out, and a foam mattress purchased for the inside. I'll get some good pics for you then. May take it to Death Valley in November, that's still up in the air though. If you have Instagram, you can check out my account mrkirey, to see a...
