Wow, you got lucky with those rims! Do you know the bolt pattern?
And those adapters could very well work! I'll look into those, thx for the link!!

Your last option could work well and is similar to what I had in mind by adding 2 dowels per plates. I would perfectly align the adapter plate to the existing rim, secure and drill/install the dowels in place so that every time the wheel is taken apart it would re-align itself perfectly with...
I'm curious too but 5yrs of use wouldn't be too bad either :)
I just took the truck for a 18hrs round trip to pick up a 5000lbs ambo box that I'll build up as my camper. I can say that on the way it wasn't that comfortable, bouncy, some vibrations... Then on the way back with the box loaded on...
How about a preview of what's to come? ;)
2 days ago myself and a very good mate drove from Vancouver, BC to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to pick up this box. The ride was pretty bumpy, it was my 1st long trip with this truck and didn't know what to expect. Truck never slowed below 55-58 mph even on...
Nice you got it sorted! I had a spare one available so on mine I could easily swap it to make sure it wasn't the issue. You should also post the part you used to fix and how you did it as it will come handy for a few other owners!
Cheers!
David
The paint was the easy part, the prep is the time and muscles burner!
But yes, for the cost it was really worth it!

Sure did! Been running them for a good month now and quite happy with them.
I was hoping for a more drastic RPM drop but now I know I could actually go up to 395's if I wanted. I still need to start in 2nd gear as well.
I didn't balance the wheels, just 12oz of beads per wheel and some times I...
Just a little crack at it ;)
If you're curious how it looks inside, my buddy made a video tour of it. I posted it in the 4wd van sub-forum...
Cheers

Quick kudo to Mog who sent me a bunch of pdf files for my graphics on the truck!
Also, here's a quick video of the day we took the FD box out of the truck's frame. Nothing fancy 'cause I simply don't have the skills to edit videos but it gives an idea of how it went.
Cheers,
David
If anyone is curious, I made a video showing how I went around to build my rims. I had no clue when I started this project, couldn't find decent info on what I had in mind so hopefully this can help someone down the road. It worked great for me although I'm sure there's better ways to do it. I'm...
Hi everyone.
I realize I haven't posted for quite some time, been busy on a new project but if anyone is curious to see how my Hambo turned out (Ambuland Version 2.0) have a look at this video from a friend of mine. Don't mind the poor sound quality for the 1st minute or so, it gets better once...
Yes sir!!!
Exactly what I had pictured! Thank you so much Mog! I'll see if a local print shop could do it for me. Not sure if they'll need a file of some sort but this is awesome!
Cheers!

I had been waiting for decent hot weather for quite some time to get this done and this wknd was it! Pretty standard here, take off the headliner hoping to remember how to put it back, put some sound dampener (no need to go crazy like most VanLife Instagram posts), 1/2" strips of closed cell...
One of my buddy insist that I build a flatbed to haul my camper box. So far I'm more inclined to build a sub-frame so the box wouldn't be too tall. But for now, just to keep him happy, I found this heavy duty treated wooden deck for free which fits pretty good! Comes handy as well for hauling...
I sure miss the rim ring, made it easy to get in and I've been thinking how I could build something similar.
As for the frame I'm planning to extend the Wheelbase for sure. Instead of cutting and extending the frame I'll move the axle back then decide if I need to extend the frame tail.

You brought a good point with the step sticking out for ease of access. For now I use the steps for the back door and move on the tire to get inside, feels like a jungle gym, lol.
Wow, I completely forgot to update this post. Yes, the PS22 fit fine on the 10" rims. I just used an air Canon to set the bead, went really easy.
No rubbing at all and I realized I could have even gone with taller tires (44's). I might even be able to fit 46's, just not sure if I'd need a small...
