I never aired down my 35s on the trails everyone else aired down on...so I'm used to the fully aired up tire action on the rocks.
Altho the Fed Ex weight said 116lbs...I don't think they're THAT heavy. I only 10lbs heavier than that myself...and I didn't have much issue putting all 4 of them...
I imagine they'll be great offroad. They have huge sidewall lugs and big chunked center treads.
38.7 is the smallest diameter for this tread, but there are smaller military tires that are somewhat similar tread design
I scored mine on ebay, they're like new...this guy seems to have tons of tires, all types and sizes and puts a new set of 4 up as soon as each set sells...
I did some "trimming" today...
I trimmed off the bumper....
I trimmed off the LX flares...
With my 1.5" wheel spacers on, the tires now stick out 3.5" in the front and 4.5" in the back (due to no adjustable panhards yet to even them out)
It instantly rubbed with a SLIGHT turn of the wheel on the front bumper endcaps, so they were removed.
With a 3/4 turn, they rubbed in the back of the front wheel well, so a BFH cleared that for me.
If I turn to full lock to the right it will just touch the exhaust in the front right wheel...
They're my new tires...I'll have some bodylift and have to tweak things to perfect the setup, but I love 'em.
It sounds like 4 little airplanes flying near my car at any speed above 25...lol.
I went big on top...so I needed to even out the bottom.
I got them all mounted today...
"Recommended" rim according to the Military specs is 9" wide, but they fit on the factory Lexus wheels.
They sing a nice song on the highway, and surprisingly no death wobble. They couldn't fit these on...
Haha, after taking down my RTT, I DID get stuck waiting for those Suzuki guys to roll through.
It was weird to watch these fully modified Samurais seem to have trouble going over that little bump that you go over to ENTER the trail...
One of em stalled as I was waiting in a little pull off and...
Works for me...
The only McDonalds (and I think the only one in Sedona?) I know of is that one just off 89 with the GREEN Mcdonalds "M"... There at 8 works for me
