Just because you get a different vehicle there is no garuntee it won't need the same or worse. One thing to consider is what you have already have in hand and what has already been done when making that decision

I have seen some guys put a 2nd battery in the back left corner (as you face the motor). You have to remove the fender brace but thats 2 bolts. Not sure if your battery will fit that space or not. Please post pics of your success

Thanks guys, the same thoughts I was having. 5.3 motor that is solid, 8.6" rear and yea I was thinking of the Easton. For about $1k for the kit and then all the supporting pieces and the "might as well since you are here" things.

'02 Chevy 1500 Silverado 2wd. I'm thinking about adding a locking diff for it. I have my Jeep Jk for the true off road stuff but this would be for those times when the 2wd, really 1wd even with the limited slip, gets stuck I can just hit the EZ button and back out.

I would post what areas you are willing to travel to get them. I mean if there are some in San Diego and your are in NH is it really a lead? I would also check the Craigslist listing in the areas you are willing to travel
