Great ton of info, @Chadx. I love the level of detail you are providing. Like you I am not concerned about the quality of the camper or that seam between top and bottom. Having a Supertramp LT before and knowing Kelsey and Keith, the STC team, and how they strive for perfection - that seam would...
Not a big fan of the outside design (I would have to see it in person for a better view), but I really like what they did on the interior with the windows. So much light from the upper windows - great job, STC team!
This is not a camper I would purchase, but that is due to my use case being...
It has been a minute since I posted an update. Well, I have been busy enjoying my new Rossmonster Baja. I took delivery on September 30th, 2024 and been having a blast since then. I already spent about 40 nights in the rig - with temperatures ranging from 14 degrees on lower end of the spectrum...
A lot has happened and here is another update. I highly recommend you follow me on Instagram and YouTube to not miss any developments. I am a bit behind with keeping this build thread up to date.
The roof has been installed to the camper. In case you do not know, the Rossmonster Baja roof sits...
Lots of progress on the build. Here we have the countertops being installed. The countertops are Corian and of course not as thick as you would do it in a residential build. There is not cutout for a stove. I am going with induction and decided to use a portable one so that I can also cook...
Hi Mark,
I no longer own the rig as I am building a new one. I do not have the weight information, but overall, leaf springs did their job well and I am glad I upgraded.
You want to check to make sure the 2,000 lb limit comes close to what you have. My new rig is an F350 and will carry more...
You describe it perfectly. My shop was willing to do it. We even talked to Arnold from OEV upfront to see if they would allow for more customization from the factory, but OEV was not willing or able to do so.
Yes, correct. I just added more context in my other response, but that is pretty much what you described. It can be done in the OEV, but some default factory options need to be removed and replaced with better ones. That is more cost for hardware and labor. With Rossmonster it is designed from...
That's a very good question. I like it.
This is less a question of which rig or camper handles it better. I can configure either camper the same way, but Rossmonster allows me to build it as needed from scratch, while OEV does not offer much customization at all. I would have to rip certain...
Wall panels have been installed and the pass-through has been cut into the rear of the truck cab. Cabinetry is going in as well. Good progress - I love it.
If you are interested, I toured the Rossmonster Shop and was able to video it for you. Very interesting and cool to see how Rossmonster builds their vans and the Baja.
