Cheaper than what I was looking at: https://safejacks.com/products/adjustable-bottle-jack-extensionvariant=1195442845
In addition to the extension (depending on your bottle jacks ram diameter) you might need the collar. Get's close to $100.
I have a 4 ton bottle jack that extends about 14". That's not going to cut it for lifting the D15 at its lift point behind the tire.
Does anyone know how much lift is required to change a tire on the D15? Is a jack extension a good way to get the extra height needed?
Just back from a four day trip to Kentucky from Maryland in the D15. 1,500 miles through moderate mountains and paved country roads gave me some good experience in handling the trailer. Semi traffic on I81 was "interesting".
Observations:
Need to get the front locker struts replaced; it's a...
I called OBi (had to go through their new sales option on the menu) and the person there told me I had to work through my dealer. My dealer (where do I begin) is probably the worst customer service I've ever dealt with for any product. So I doubt I'll be able to take advantage of my warranty.
I...
Weird coincidence. Mine came with tape like that sectioned and placed almost identically. Mine is double sided and it grabs the lid so hard I can't open it.
So that black tape around the fan housing...that was SO sticky I couldn't crank the lid open. I ran a light coating of lithium grease over it to drop the tackiness. It almost looks like it was put on as an afterthought. Any reason to leave it there?
Just spent four days in a state forest here in the Mid-Atlantic. As it was our first trip in the D15, this was basically a dry-run to work out kinks and make sure we're set up for longer trips. We learned a lot about how the Dweller works and what we do and don't like and may want to modify...
The Anderson plug I installed (because the cigarette adapter never stayed in) was correctly wired. The damage to the fridge wire was just enough for the slide rail to make contact which cause the fuse to blow. All by design, just wish it wasn't right before our trip! Anyway, all good now.
I had pulled the control panel off of the fridge and inspected the 15 amp inline fuse there and it was OK.
Just checked the fuse panel (screwed on cover plate? that's not helpful) and indeed the fridge fuse was blown. Threw a new one in there and everything lit up.
Thanks from me (and my wife...
Disaster. Leaving on the maiden voyage tomorrow AM and when retracting the fridge tray the cord jammed in the track, and cut into the wire. The fridge (ICECO VL90) won't turn on. Popped the front panel and checked the 15A fuse assuming a short blew it, but it wasn't burnt. Swapped out a new fuse...
So are you actually leveling the rig with these? I wasn't clear from ARK's product page if leveling (i.e., supporting the full weight) was an application. I assume it would be since the load capacity is so high. How easy is it to crank them? Can you use a battery-powered drill to do that or does...
Nice, thanks for sharing.
Did the larger jacks require any additional fitting or fabrication or did they just mount in the same location as the OEM jacks?
I found out that I can upgrade the spring arms on my Blue Ox to 700Lb tongue weight and that would increase the max tow capacity of the hitch to 7,000 lbs. But I also ran into another complication. The Blue Ox head has a round profile and the McHitch receiver needs to clamp onto a rectangular...
What make/model WD hitch are you using? Any issues getting the McHitch receiver to fit?
I have a Blue Ox BXW0350 I used with my popup but the Dweller is too heavy for that.
