I have two of the topper clamps a couple inches apart, and then I run a Voile strap behind the clamps and around the propane bottle of the heater. I store the heater in travel mode. I like the Voile straps because you can really cinch them down tight and the rubber holds it in place well
Absolutely! A couple more from Moab, then a couple links to some other threads I’ve started. The low gear ratio in 4low first gear in the manual transmission was great on Hell’s Revenge. I have been to Moab in a couple different Jeeps, but I really enjoyed the PW on the rocks...
And one more pic from last fall. I put a short video together of that trip and there is a brief interior shot with all of the bedding in there.

Thanks for the bump! Nothing to report for changes. Just been using it as intended. It has held up well over the past year. My favorite feature is the modularity. I routinely take out the rear panels and stash them in the garage, but the front panels have stayed in most of the time. A...
Lets go with yours! This is brilliant by the way, I can think of more than a few routes that the slosh effect would get a load of laundry clean in no time, who needs a spin cycle!
Seems price is now up to $94 now. But what I find odd is that Amazon suggests that people frequently purchased with these with TidePods? Storage for you camping gear and a TidePods for a road snack???
Yeah, when you think about offroading, you have to decide if you are fine with a basecamp, then exploring approach or if you want/need to take the camping gear with you on the hardcore parts. You can get pretty far off the beaten path to some pretty remote places with a pop up, but then do your...
We have had a Fleetwood cobalt for around 6 years now. It has been a really good fit for us. Great for 4 people. 5 is acceptable for sure, but with the 5th we have decided to upsize a bit. I think the key with pop ups is going in with reasonable expectations, and then you will enjoy them. I...
In my opinion when considering the value between an offroad package with lockers and other offroad goodies vs. just building the equivalent from a lower package is factory warranty, resale value, and the ability to sell it down the road. Selling a modified rig can be difficult and can take...
I have left my dog in a tent while I went out to use the bathroom and she did not appreciate it for even a minute and started clawing at the walls. I don’t think the tent would survive the night with my pups inside
For a cooler we have an Igloo Sportsman. It’s rotomolded similar to a Yeti and is certified bear resistant by the IBC so we can legally leave it outside in bear country, which is against regs in a standard cooler. Given we spend most of our outdoor time in grizzly bear country, the space it...
When its just me and the boys in my 06 Power Wagon, the dogs travel in the topper. once its time to convert the topper to sleeping mode, the dog is no longer allowed in there due to shedding and dragging mud in to our bedding. I end up moving one car seat out of the way in the back seat, and...
One more link, there is a very short clip of the interior of the topper with me and my two boys in it to show space at the 1:17 mark. Even with making the platform flush with the wheel wells and 3" thick foam mattress, there is not quite enough room for me to sit up all the way in a standard...
In my Power Wagon, for the first round I started with a full width platform with an air mattress. For the second round I had the following goals:
-Maximize head room. Keep it as low to the wheel wells as possible. Ditch the air mat for a foam mat
-Easily removable. The best feature of the Power...
Do you have any information on the wheels or the tire size? I have an 06 PW and would like to get something similar. not sure the factory ram steelie that is used for the spare tire is wide enough for 315/70R17, but I have not been able to find much information
