Wow! I cannot even imagine how I would have handled that situation. I know the trip would have ended right there though. What a miracle that those guys happened to be there. Is she 100% recovered now?
Had them on my KJ. They were terrible in mud. Turned to slicks instantly. I was expecting that though with the tight tread pattern. What I wasn't expecting was how much the Colorado rocks would take out of them. Lots of tread rubber chunks gone.

I don't know, it was pretty rough. This happened on that trail. That's the upper control arm 200 feet from the end of the trail (thank goodness I was carrying a spare). Coming back down was really rough. Some of those ledges seemed huge.
I started out with the RC lift. It's design adds a spacer between the strut and the clevis fork. The problem is that it will kill the struts in short order. I now run a Frankenlift in the front with 2" poly spacers in the rear with the RC springs. I will be replacing the rear setup with OME...

Thanks. The cars were just outside the National Park boundary. There may have been a Hummer, but from what we saw, the cars appeared to be from before 1960.

The following day, day 10 of the trip, we spent the entire day in Arches National Park. This is truly an amazingly scenic park. I would love to go back when there isn't so much haze in the air and get some photos at sunset. Below are a few highlight photos.

I did see one of those little things in Moab. It drove by us while we were eating at Zak's Pizza and we saw it again a while later. I recall it having a sticker or something about being 2 cycle. We actually had to stop and admire it for a while.
