    Powdercoat Armor or Rattle Can?

What about using some sort of spray on or roll on bedliner. That stuff has to be durable and I kinda like the textured look of it on bumpers.

    IntrepidXpedition 2007

Ahhhh yes, Grand Teton, Yellowstone and the surrounding area. Absolutely beautiful. Don't forget to stop in the Gun Barrel if you head through Jackson (JAckson Hole if you aren't from around there). We ate there back in '98 and it was great and from what I've read on this board, it still is.

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

Man Scott, I sure hope you can get on the trail. That's a long way to drive to miss out. Don't give up because their vehicle can't make it. You might hang around the visitor center and see if you can hook up with another group going on the trail. Another option might be to rent something from...

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

Sounds like you are about ready to hit the road. Those are some serious party lights. Did you wire the lights up so that you could also activate them with the reverse lights for backing in the dark? The tint on the back window of the Liberty makes seeing while backing a bit difficult when there...

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

Good looking set up Scott. Looks well thought out and organized. With the cooler and the water both sitting on the drivers side, is the KJ sagging pretty good on that side?

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

Will that cooler of yours fit in the back without the seat down. I guess if there are only three you could let down one half of the seat. I'll be interested to see how it all fits, for ideas when I head west.

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

The preperations look to be coming along nicely Scott. Are you going to have people riding in the back seat? What all do you plan to store on the roof?

Jeep KJ trip to Moab... July 13-22, 2007

I second taking the Long Canyon trail from 279 to get to Canyon Lands visitor Center. It is well worth the drive for the scenary and is also a very easy trail to get started out on. That has been my route the two times I've camped in CL. The Schaffer switchbacks are awesome to go down. Man I...

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

Hey guys, pack your cold weather bags. The forcast is showing the low to be 34F for Friday night. Also a slight chance of T-storms on Saturday. Being down on the water may make it feel even colder.

I'm not going to be able to make it this time. Sure wish I could though. Someone please take pictures and do a write up. Scott, if you are still thinking of a repeat next month, I should be able to make it then.

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

Thanks for the offer. I am udecided right now about going. If I could stay through Sunday I would be for sure, but only being able to stay through Saturday is putting doubt in the plan. I am not ruling it out yet, and that would be great to be able to get down there earlier on Friday. SO, if I...

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

It would be hard for me to leave town before 7 PM and with a 6 hour drive time, that would put is in around 1AM.

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

Also, if we try to go out 40 and meet at the Ranger station then go down to the Lake, It looks like about a 7 hour drive. Versus 5 1/2 of we go through Hot Springs.

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

I am definitely into the exploring aspect and was really looking forwad to cruising through the forest. Mostly I want scenery and if possible some good hill climbs (by wheeled vehicle). IF we are not going that route, we may want to look at not going out I-40 and instead go down through Hot...

Ouachita National Forest - April 6-8

I like the idea of trying to cross the Ouachita by dirt and gravel while exploring some of the side trails if time allowed.

    etrex vs. laptop issues

My Etrex does not get power through the cable. There is a cable that also includes a cig adaptor to power it. I suggest disconnecting the Etrex from the Laptop, take it outside and power it on and let it sit for a few minutes. It should acquire satellites then. Once it is acquired, boot the...
