    Importing Cruisers

I purchased my first truck to import about three weeks ago and have already done a lot of work to it in prep for importing and resale. It is a 1990 PZJ70 LX with factory AC in great condition for being 27yrs old. I am currently hunting for a second truck to import, ideally a Troopy or pickup. I...

    Importing Nissan Patrols

You are limiting yourself a lot if these are the only countries you are looking at. TD42 is the best engine put in these trucks for diesel. TB48 is the best gas engine. Currently importable models are the 160-series, 260-series and the Y60 unless you wanted the old classic G60 which is not...

    Importing Nissan Patrols

FYI when I had a Patrol shipped from Australia to Long Beach and then trucked up to Eastern Idaho in 2012 it cost around $5k all up. Inland shipping on both sides of the pond as well. In 2002 when I imported a Patrol from New Zealnd it was about $2-2.5k all up but obviously things had changed...

    Importing Cruisers

I don't search Europe because I don't have any contacts there. From what I have been told though the trucks are just as rusty and have just as much body filler as anywhere else in the world. I have contacts down here in Latin America and have traveled down here extensively so that is why I...

    Importing Nissan Patrols

Volcan4x4 has done older ones. I have brought in two myself. .Following-enthusiast for the Patrol in the USA consists of maybe 1,000 people. Hardly any market for it. I pursued this importation venture as far back as 2004. I have owned dozens of these trucks and restored a handful as well...

    Importing Cruisers

Ok here is the thing, this thread was meant to be a feeler type thread. I could post some pics. Sure! But I am not ready to move any trucks yet. I am coming back to the states, in fact I will be in the states tomorrow, to deal with a bunch of things. I plan to be back down in Latin America in...

    Importing Cruisers

Ya know I was thinking only the best of the best when I first started looking seriously at this venture. And then I talked to some interested people who can't throw down $30k for a 25yr old Cruiser. They maybe got half that. And that was when I realized why limit myself and exclude the average...

    Importing Cruisers

So I did a recon mission for Land Cruisers the other day in one particular Latin American country. I founds tons upon tons of them. More than I could count. Even found a LC junkyard, of course it was all with the help of my Latin American friend. We even saw a troopy body that highly likely...

    Importing Cruisers

Btw half cuts that are newer than 25yrs old are legal to import for parts. I must have seen 50 super awesome Cruisers today driving from Panama to Costa Rica and it got me thinking! Marv at Spectre Offroad used to import a lot of half cuts before he passed away. Cheers
