    Importing Cruisers

From what I have seen Tor does very nice work. His v8 swaps look outstanding! He just did a 6L v8 swap into a 70-series and it gives me a stiffy!! Hahaha! Cheers

    Importing Cruisers

I think they do make exceptions to this law, there is info on the forum about this. You are correct though but again I think you can go through a process and get a special permit if you are from a RHD country and driving the PanAm. Cheers

2000 UZJ Toyota Land Cruiser built to drive around the world!

Or even a 105! There is a number of 105's down here in Panama and I saw a very nice one for sale recently. I just can't stop looking at these 78/79 series pickups though. They are simple and plain Jane but with the right overland build they are absolutely killer to the core. I would love a 79...

SOLD -1995 Toyota Landcruiser w/ 4BT Cummins 3.9L Turbo Diesel, AZ

Nice Cruiser, you certainly went all out! Been on the market though for nearly six months, I think that says something loud and clear. I am not trying to be an ******** here at all, I am just going to offer some advice and food for thought. I sold my 100-series 4,500 miles from the USA (both...

1998 Land Cruiser only 7069 miles whats the value of this vehicle if i sell it?

Hope whom ever buys it has $10k to fix all the dry rotted seals and gaskets. Not to mention condensation in all the fluids sitting for so long. Cheers

    Importing Cruisers

Ya they are all LHD. Every country in the Americas is LHD. 22R and 22RE is pretty common down here. I seen one very nice early 80's Hilix for sale but it was just a reg cab, no different than a US truck. You might be surprised what a Hilux would cost ya, 60% of what Cruisers cost depending...

    Importing Cruisers

I know where I could pick up several tomorrow. Years range from 84 to 1990. All are four door with a diesel. One 1990 turbo diesel is in absolutely mint condition, like time capsule condition. Factory turbo diesel, 4-door, SFA from the factory. Cheers

    Importing Cruisers

I know where I can buy one right now. Very nice condition. 2H, H55, FF rear axle, barn doors. Fresh interior as well that is tasteful and well done. Oh ya it has A/C as well. Cost ya a bit of coin because it is so nice. It is an 1988. I know where another one is just like it but not barn doors...

    Importing Cruisers

Yes gasser 70's are in Central America but they are few and far between. Luckily I know where there is a ton of them just a hop, skip and a jump away! Some people I would imagine would certainly prefer them. More pep and power, easier to work on albeit cost more to feed with fuel. Cheers

    Importing Cruisers

Here is what I am noticing and I been watching, looking and researching a lot lately. Causally for a lot longer. The market is flooded with JDM RHD Cruisers. At any given time there is dozens and dozens of them out there for sale. In the last couple years prices have come down a lot on them and...

Overland Adventures - the journey to a new life

I am getting ready to turn around and head back to the states! I have been in Panama a month come this weekend. Right now I am sitting in a friends house I have rent by the sea looking out at another storm blowing in as the sun sets. The rainy season seems to have begun here two weeks ago, it...

    Importing Cruisers

Been there more than once myself. I am very well versed in trucks especially Cruisers, all models. More than a decade and a half now I been doing this buy and build them up thing. That is why I think there is very few people importing that could offer what I can offer. Many years of hands on...

1998 Land Cruiser only 7069 miles whats the value of this vehicle if i sell it?

Low mile, especially extremely low mile is not often best. If you work on trucks you know why. Best trucks see 3-10,000 miles a year. This 100 could easily end up being a money pit. I would buy one with 90-125k with documented (carfax) service any day over this at a normal price. Oh wait I did...

    Importing Cruisers

Last one I saw for sale that was converted was $40+k!!! Not saying that is what you paid and I don't watch eBay, CL and the like 24/7 like some people but man I never seen a converted one go for cheap when I have seen them. Just buying the 1HDT in good condition costs a lot of coin and then...

    Importing Cruisers

I know where a HZJ77 wagon is right now. A 91 with the 1HZ but it is a bit rough and needs some work. Has not the best paint job on it too. The HZJ77 are rare down here but very cool trucks. The one of know of could be had for fairly cheap but then is it worth the time and investment to bring it...

    Importing Cruisers

Kind of a dead horse type of thread but I am bored and sitting down here in Panama where I have driven my 100-series. I am thinking about importing some 70-series and 80-series from down here up to the states. I am familiar with import rules and laws as I have already imported two trucks to...

    Carbon60's HDJ81

Looking good!! I am thinking about picking up an early 90's HJ80 as well. I am coming across many down here in Latin America in nice condition both with the 1HDT and also with the 1HZ. Most with the 5spd but a few autos as well and even a few with diff locks. I had a really nice 80 at one time...

So can you straight axle a 100 or 200 series?

105 uses an 80-series frame in front at the least. Problem with a sas on a 100 is up travel. The frame is not designed for a sfa so does not have hardly any arch to allow for up travel. Looks great on the internet but hardly worth it in my opinion. Just get a nice 80-series and if you want a...

2000 UZJ Toyota Land Cruiser built to drive around the world!

Thanks man! I put a lot into it like all my trucks which should be obvious. It is a turn key and ready to rock and roll, tested even! The buyer has a 100 he was going to build up but now he can skip all that as well as labor costs and just start enjoying a 100 that is built and ready to go. I...
