Guys, thanks so much for the input. I am still on the fence...but one is in my near future for sure. Both are super appealing and super secksy! I need a coin to flip...LOL.

I will take the tent to a shipper, but I think the cost would be prohibitive. I would prefer to stay out of the arranging shipping part of it.

I do like the light weight factor for sure. I am going to be mounting to a Flippac. I did see the Ezi Awn on Craigslist, and that is what sparked this debate in my head/wallet. A guy let me open and close his Alu Cab the other day and it is very nice, solid feeling unit. Needed no leg what so...

They are about the same price...both can be set up without the "legs"...but the Alu-Cab has NO legs...both seem well built, although I have very little experience with either of them. Can anyone help me make the choice here? Thanks

I am in the process of thinking through my solar build and I really like the looked of the Victron with the BT module...glad to see others are using it. Any issues with them? Any regrets?

My addition to the thread... Just added a full DOR long arm kit with Fox coil overs, full steering upgrade, etc.

The cradle actually uses the the metal dots on the back of the unit. You could not use that function and use a separate USB cord but why would you? No need. I am sure you could also disconnect and remove the built in charging function, but again I'm not seeing the need for that. If anything buy...

This is the original DeLorme InReach. It has worked great and saved my tail a couple of time. Has a couple of marks on the back from the charger but in general looks new and performs the same. Only replacing because I got a new Garmin Explorer+ as a gift. $250 for unit and charger. Cash or...

That's a great looking bumper sir...I was planning either a boxed unit like that or maybe even a tube/desert style (mostly because it'll be cheaper) and add a tire and Fuel can holder. I do have to remount the bed though...the knuckleheads mounted too far back and not level...that kind of stuff...
