    LR3 Dash Cover...

Mine fits great. Did you pull the dash top vents out before installing? That makes all the difference IMO.

    possible MAF issues

I’d check the wiring going to the MAF. As well as the pipe coming off the air box directly under the MAF they’ve been known to crack.

    85,000 Mile LR3?

Check the lower door sills for rust they commonly rust out there in the UK and if they’ve been around a lot of salt or water and mud they’ll rot out there. You should be able to see the back sides of them from under the truck. You can get the plastic covers off pretty easily with a regular flat...

I agree. Then you have examples like my LR3 were that stuff lasts you 100k miles with no issues. Frankly I’m against buying any new car, IMO a 2 year old 22’ model year or later Defender will probably be the ticket. Hopefully they’ll have most of the QC issues worked out by then and if the...

My money is on it being the compressor on TFL’s Defender. I’ve heard of another one that had to have the compressor replaced.

I actually have found quite a few for sale recently with the lockers. My dealer almost always has at least one or two either in stock or on the way with it. I’ve also seen a bunch in other parts of US coming in with steel wheels. Even a couple here in NC. Plus historically the First two years...

Build quality, QC, etc, I feel like the pandemic may have affected it somewhat in all vehicles. The Defender has that as well which just exacerbates potential first year problems.

Gonna be honest I don’t want a 2020 model year anything. Frankly I think 2022 will probably be the year to get.

I think it depends. If you have comprehensive they’ll usually cover it. Mine is delaminating I haven’t checked to see if they’ll cover it.

The D5 non heated windshield is $816 and heated is $1,044. So it’s about a $200 difference on most LR windshields.

I’m replacing the windshield on my LR3 when it gets painted this year and it’s about a $188 difference between heated and non heated. Non heated is $430 and heated is $618 both directly from JLR. Probably could get them cheaper from Pilkington.

Wasn’t criticizing. I had just looked at the Tibus off road website a few days prior to this thread and they do have bolt on portal axles for the Defender.
