So at the hospital i work in i realized our case carts that carry all our surgical instruments into the operating rooms have similar door latches to the ones i bought. Here are just some nice reference pix i took for myself to look back on.
Then i went to instagram user "Ish_mrqz" to get some...
I checked out your build. I think doing a build like yours is more complicated to do without messing up the body. Congrats on making it look good. As for the heater I went propane because I am going to be carrying a full size bbq propane tank for all my things like shower tent and my grill. So I...
thats a pretty cool build man. What else did you incorporate into the trailer other then storage in he bed and a lift? any solar stuff or on board water? i figure if you could fabricate the stuff you made here in these 3 pages id imagine you could defintely add all kinds of cool stuff.
Picked up some tires for the trailer this past friday. 35/12.5/r15 BF Goodrich KM2's. Bought off of "Infamous_Ride" on Instagram.
Then over this past weekend I got started on working on the large trailer compartment floor. I started off by welding on these 1/2"x1/2" square tube along the...
Just a quick little update. I ordered these trailer compartment door latches on sunday from Ebay from seller "DiscountTrailerSupply". and they finally arrived today.
I liked this particular one because it was a steel finish. it wasn't stainless. This means I have more freedom to mount this...
I forgot to post this pic from my birthday weekend last month from Dec 11- Dec 13 at Big Bear Ca. We had a blast snow boarding at Snow Summit at staying at this small warm cottage for the weekend. Although there wasn't any off-roading or rock crawling it was still fun trying to drive in the...
I havent gotten around to installing mine yet because i havent finished building the trailer. But here is a video of how my water system will work Including tank. I think it may be easier to understand for you if you are curious to know how it all works.

Hit up the steel shop last weekend with my dad and when i got back I found my dad showing off my truck to another customer talking about the stuff I do when i rock crawl and the hits my bumpers take that him and I built together. Lol
I kept a distance and was left like Aww! That's my dad! You...
because it was my first time ever taking on a trailer project. I didn't know any better but if I could take it back I would have gone and bought 1×1. that was just my fault in the initial drawing of design for the trailer. oh well lesson learned now I gotta deal with the monster weight like you...
Not everything. The only things I went thick with were the axle and tongue. The guy at the trailer supply store told me to use 1/4" for building the axle in order to build it to a 3500# capacity because the 3/16" tube tends to bend on people after they take any weight. And my local steel store...
My dad bought a 220v plasma cutter today. That this thing is awesome. Cuts tube like butter and i think it's supposed to be able to cut up to 3/4" thick. I sure could have used this thing the other day lol
After feeling how much weight i have on the trailer I decided not to go with the extra...
Now that thanksgiving is over i can add more to the build. Here is the continuation of what AllPro-Offroad and Trail-Gear call a "U-Bolt Flip kit" only difference is mine had to be custom made due to using Toyota leaf springs in pair with the trailer 2" thick axle. Enjoy
Drilled out the ubolt...
It just dawned on me that i forgot to make shock gussets for the axle. lol I guess i'll have have to make those as well and re paint the axle where i weld them in place.
That's a lot of layers. lol. I was actually just planning to add a 1" gusset all around the square windows of the storage boxes so i could rivet on a 16guage aluminum sheet metal on the sides.
Not sure if you can envision what i mean but maybe this pix will help.
the box in the back of that...
Time to build the trailer axle!
I took a ton of pix because i couldn't find any info on how to build a trailer axle and it made research hard for me. So i took a bunch of pix to help others out in case they are in the same boat i was in.
First i had to mark the inner weld on the inside of...
