If I had to do it again. I would buy a 1/2 ton with the overdrive automatic, and upgrade the axles to 3/4 ton. I sure wish I had an overdrive sometimes and barn doors.

Just to be clear I wasn't complaining. About how expensive my truck has been. Only pointing out how expensive. It can be. I have done about 95% of all the work on my truck and enjoy doing it.

Buying 20 year old truck is expensive. I have over 10 grand into my suburban so far. Plan on rebuilding everything.

I only regret one thing about my engine build is keeping the tbs heads. Should have spent the money on some aftermarket heads. Worth about 30-40 hp with the cam I used. And still would have passed smog.

So far I really like the ride. Ill checkfor the shock numbers.

I have heard both sides on the sagging of re-arched springs. But all was hearsay. I admit that i'm not sure what will happen long term. the fact is all springs will sag. So i will be posting up pictures every few months to show the rate of sag. Here are the ride height pics as of 3/24/2011...

No not chrome. Just some hi-temp coating to keep them from rusting. To tell the truth I didn't ask to many questions I got them done thru work with a discount. Ill pm you the place that did them if you like.
