on my trip to baja last year, i ran my dodge, loaded with 7 days gear (7-7500lbs?)
ran 35psi for 2000 miles alternating dirt/crappy pavement, twisty narrow highways, no problems.
We did stab a loose bolt through the tread, in a sand wash, and had to plug it, but that is irrelevant.
i use a...
i always though a stripped down raptor would sell well, 2wd, long travel, small v8, std cab 6.5' bed, if they made it "look" cool like that tremor but keep the price down to 25-30k
or just the raptor suspension on that truck...
just a dream
sorry to drag you off the ecco boost again,
but you havn't mentioned the clean diesel ram 1500 (not proven, obviously) but dodge offers 3 sizes of 4 doors.
i believe the "middle" sized 4 door ram is bigger than your old CC and still not as bulky as a mega cab
im in the same predicament, my...

that being said, let me break out my $1,300,000 yen and get one:)
its deceiving how much for-sight and planning has to go into something like this :)
i want to ditch the factory hitch in favor of something higher, for clearance reasons, but still needs to be able to pull 12k+ lbs
is it overkill to tie the gate upright into the hitch? But-welding it onto the...

Good tip on the retention tab when closed. Thanks.
an hour in google sketchup, and i have a rough idea.
the trick is making the gate low enough, and slim enough, to be able to remove the camper.
the only way i can see it working, is to remove the tire and everything bolted to the gate, open it 90* then drive out from under the camper.
any...
