Way too many variables to make a claim like that. At work, we have an almost identical 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 PK; 5.3-liter engine.
Truck #1 - Big O AT/T Tires - Stock.
Truck #2 - BFG KO2; Camper Shell and normal everyday cargo: Highlift Jack, Shovel, Tire Chains*2, 2 tie-down chains w/ binders...
If you are wanting a bit of extra traction for a cross-country trip - I would get a set of - auto sock. Lightweight get you through the worst of it. Great in case of an emergency - great self-recovery tool. If you want to do "work" with your vehicle and actually begin to tow and recover other...
It’s a Discount Tire specific brand - installed on a couple work trucks (1500 Suburban and 1500 PK) and they are respectable. We don’t put enough miles on the vehicles to tell how they wear. They seem to good all around AT tires.
Wouldn't the Micheline LTX A-T2 be the next step between the LTX and the BFGKO? Seems to have a bit more agressive look, but similar tire compound to the LTX? They would probably do better in the dirt, but have a bit less perforance in the ice/snow due to the lack of siping. I have run both the...
They are awesome tires, and deserve some respect. I can't tell you how many ranching trucks (one ton dodge, ford, and chevy) with these tires on them in Colorado. I would also state that most of these ranchers put more off road miles on their trucks through out the year than most of the expo...
I was watching a you tube and the video flashed over this "Solar Generator." The 30 amp RV plug caught my attention. Seems a bit sill to go from 12vdc to 110VAC to use the RV trailer converter to drop it all back down to 12vdc. Also interesting that you can connect this to addiitional 12vdc...
We use them on a couple of three trucks - and the operators seem happy with them. Big O is the closest tire dealer and they offer good service. The two of the trucks spend 80% of their time on dirt roads and covered with snow in winter. The other truck spends 85% of its time on the paved road...
If the dealer is selling it as a new vehicle, then the origional vehicle waranty applies - what you have 60K miles to see how the transmission holds up and they will replace it under waranty. That is the buty of getting a vehicle that has been upfitted by the dealer.
If its a good deal go for...
One of my co-workers just put a set of these on a work truck. They appear to be a good contender to take on the BFG AT. Deep addressive AT tread, M&S Rated with the moutian snow flake. It will be interesting to see how they perform and hold up.
The are only avialable through Disccount Tire...
If you can fit them 2x 6 volt golf cart batteries are far better than 2x Deep Cycle Batteries. The golf cart batteries are in series to get 12v as deep cycle batteries are in paralell. You will get more AH capacity - along with a battery that is designed for heavy duty use.
Wow pretty interesting looking at Coopers Website - I applaude them for actually showing their priviate branded tires they make for Pep Boys and Discount Tire. Most of the manufactures hide their private lable tires.
However - what is the real diffference between the AT3, AT3LT, and the AT3XLT...
So my guess is that you are going to have to dig into the wires from the steering column and look for a the wire coming from the actual high beam switch. This feed should be able to provide enough power to trigger the normal high beam relay and the auxiliary light relay. I guess the other...
I think the problem the poster has is that when the head lights are off, the DRL are on. A lot of vehicles use the high beam as the DRL, but supply the headlight with reduces voltage to "dim" the light and make it last longer. It was/is pretty common/easy to tap the +12vdc going to the high beam...
