VERY nice…what mine aspires to be ? Price isn’t unreasonable, considering the market and smart aftermarket accessories. GLWS

    TeardropsNW Ranger

Another great weekend with the trailer. Cold nights were no problem with the propane heater, the awning gave us a comfortable place to be during a brief snow squall, and cooking in that galley was a treat.

    TeardropsNW Ranger

We did get the Lightleaf solar panel, curved to match the curvature of the galley hatch. It’s a sweet piece…robust but light, mounts completely unobtrusively, can be used “remotely” via a long power cable, and charges even in reduced or partially-blocked sunlight. We opted for the standard 12v...

    TeardropsNW Ranger

Congrats on the TDNW trailer! We just took possession of the same model last December, and are loving it. -As for adding more solar, look into the Light Leaf curved solar panel that TDNW offers. They can install on your galley hatch. 100w, and keeps your house battery very healthy. -General...

    Copper canyon

Somewhere on this forum is a long, informative thread on CopperCanyon. Can’t remember who started it (Frenchie?), or which sub-forum it’s in, but it isn’t too old and well worth finding. Good luck, sounds like fun (well, other than the vehicle choice ?).

    Teardrop Northwest

I want to give a shout-out to Teardrop Northwest. Located in Salem Oregon, Ossie and Kim run a fantastic business. My wife and I picked up our new Ranger teardrop today. Build time was basically 12 months, but 2-3 of those were “COVID-related” delays. Quality of build, top-flite components and...

My idea to run 255/75-17... More 6112/5160 on a Pro talk.. Long winded :)

Not exactly apples-to-apples, but maybe close enough… I have those exact BFG Ko2’s (255-75/17) on my ‘05 GX470…essentially a 3rd gen 4-runner chassis. Before I lifted, there was some rubbing. With a 3” lift now (Ironman FCP’s), no rubbing at all. I really like the C rating…rides softer than E...

    Ridiculous descriptions from sellers

“Just want to get out of it what I have into it” Cracks me up that they think depreciation stops just because they want it to.

Not offended at all...and I’m from Oregon. PDX has turned itself into a bunghole.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the rear door on the trailer? Width and height of the actual opening? Thanks!

Simon is welding the mount tabs on the RTT rack. I purchased the quick detach awning mounts from Iron Man. The QD mounts simply bolt to the tabs.

Not sure this helps, as I haven’t received my trailer yet, but I did order the awning mounts. I plan on running an Iron Man 4x4 awning on it...I have their big one on my GX,and it’s been great. I’ll put their “medium” sized one on the trailer. I use their quick-detach awning mounts also...truly...

Unladen I think I read somewhere that they come in around 700 lbs. That’s most likely “bare bones”...no tire carrier, maybe no RTT rack, simple tires and wheels. Still, if accurate, that’s a nice low weight considering the quality he builds into them.

Maybe give him a day or 2 to catch his breath...I know of at least 3 orders he’s received in the last week. 1-man show, with a day job, so keep that in mind. He is surprisingly good with his communication, and being reachable. As for lead times, he told me 6-8 weeks but I won’t hold him to that.
