You might want to hold off on any suspension upgrades until after you get the camper. I'm not sure they are necessary solely for the OVRLND. If you are looking for more clearance or want to improve the ride, then that is a different issue. I did my suspension upgrades awhile ago when we thought...
The flood lights are Leisure LED RV porch utility lights. $10 from Amazon. The hatch light is a Hella Marine strip LED light that can be either white or red colored light. I haven't finished the electrical system, so I can't comment on how well they work. We will put two puck LED reading lights...
I ended up going with 22" distance between the 80/20 rails. That was the best for me given the molle panels I chose.
As requested, below are a few photos of how the 80/20 rails are attached on the inside of the camper.
For those of you who ordered foam mattresses from 3rd parties, did you have them cut the two back corners on an angle to match the camper's angled corners? (Photo below) If not, do you have any fitment issues?
thanks,
Kelly
I built my own drawer set with a full deck on top of the wheel wells. I love the storage capacity. I pick up my OVRLND top in early December. With the extra bedding top, I will have full standing room on top of the drawer deck with the top popped and I'm 6'2". It was one of the reasons we went...
Hello - I am finalizing my build and need to choose the vertical distance between the exterior 80/20 rails that will go from the rear of the camper to the front hatches - about 36" long (6.5' bed). For those of you who have exterior 80/20 rails, how far apart did you space them and has it worked...
I did see the MXT575 is available now. Great looking radio. Although my MXT115 works fine, I would like having the controls in the mic. I wonder if I could install it under the passenger seat. That's where I have my ham in my 2013. I'm just not sure if I could get the mic to a reasonable...
I will have had my J30 for 8 years next month. We have stored two sleeping bags and a down comforter in the closed top nearly that entire time. I also leave the hatches in place when closing the top and vent via both the front window (which we rarely close) and the two back windows. In fact, I...
I saw a Lobo camper with the full popup in December. It was very impressive. It is a great design, well executed and the fit and finish was very good as well. I like the fact that it is composite as a opposed to aluminum (I had been looking at the AT Atlas and Vagabond wedge campers). In my...
