    Monitor trailer batteries

I like (and have) the Morningstar MPPT-- it is a nice piece of kit, however it does emit some serious HF interference. On the vehicle and trailer I use the Morningstar PS-30-M which gives you the meter, ability to add temp and voltage sense as well. They run quiet as a mouse.

Fulltiming with an Engel and solar

The other option would be to do a dual door with fridge and freezer. But I do routinely freeze water in our units. No cooler though.. You could also do two small units, and run one as a fridge and one as a freezer. 100W is borderline enough to run the deep freeze. I have 100W on my roof and it...

Pics of mobile HF antenna installs

I'd love to play with the ALS500M, first order of business is to get the antenna mounted, and tuned perfectly.... What are you planning on feeding it with? Lines, length, battery, etc. Thanks--

LR4 Battery Charging Profile... Measured with IID... really this bad?

taking lwg's comments into consideration, I've been testing a new alternator. The original had over 163k on it. No drives yet, but the 250amp alternator was putting out 13.8 at an idle at first start. Thanks are looking better. I initially noticed when I connected to the trailer with my battery...

Rear Knuckle Bushings "Box Spring Mattress" Squeak LR3 Questions

I've got the mattress sound as well after some fairly heavy duty towing..... I suspect same issue, I'll have to dig into it soon... Otherwise seems like upper / lower rear control arm replacement time.

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

ouch... ya, sorry about that one. It would be worth trying Gap. I don't imagine you had time to mess around though. I've seen vehicles seemingly bricked come back with BBS, though I highly do not recommend their tool. It corrupted my entire system, Gap was able to fix it though, through support..

LR4 Battery Charging Profile... Measured with IID... really this bad?

Sorry to jump in here. I wanted to share my miserable experience with those Interstate Batteries. I've gone through half a dozen myself. I finally broke down and switch to the Deka 9A49 AGM Intimidator, i have never been happier so far. It's worth having a look there as well as how your...

    LR3 Coil spring conversion kit

Does Proud Rhino make spacers? No-- not at all. It's for a friend in Australia. He already has springs, HD and he needs 2" spacers for a spring suspension. I'm satisfied with my air suspension at this stage. I've had a good chat with him, I understand why he needs them.

Radio setup reccomendations for crossing Africa

There is a Ham discussion thread on a South Africa web site-- If it has not been asked and answered you can ask your questions, and get recommendations there. I know I have read, that you should keep your comm gear out of site at some border crossings...
